Burning Man 2014! Planning thread...

Not at all ready to join Airstreamei and What Not but getting there. Had such a blast with you all last year,after being dragged off the street for some of the good stuff. Looking forward to setting up a tent if their is room for me.

One caution: Be carefull about having fruit or vegetables or watermellon rind or banana peels or any thing that might get old and rotten. Very surprising but they won't dry out in the Zero humidity, rather they seem to ferment extra strong, and usually not in a good way. Maybe some chemistry of the alkali not letting the vegetables dry. Or just me. There's just no disposal place at all except maybe a bucket in the bed of your truck.
Oh, don't forget some foot acid, like Selzter water (carbonic acid) or vinegar and little tubs to dip your feet into when you get back in. Nice feeling of having your feet fizz in seltzer water. Some folks wear heavy boots all burn, I get along a pair of sandals 7 years now. The depth of the dust seems to make a diff on how much foot cracking I get.
There usually is a whole foods vegetable and fruit theme camp a block or so away from us that gift some vegetables all week, if the line isn't too long. I haven't heard anything, zip, about if Tuna Camp will be coming. Lots of years they are just a few streets from us. Anybody got news on Tuna Camp?

We have some trinkets for the card shop and will bring some booze for the bar.

We also have a blue camp chair or two that should look just darling covered in playa dust.

We will be rolling out in the next day or two.

Hello fellow airstreamers, PLEASE HELP, I am attending once again to burningman as participant and also working three 24 hour shifts as emergency service provider in the crisis intervention team. I drove from NYC and have been staying in fernley until aug 21, arriving on the playa. My air conditioner is only blowing warm air. Please help it's probably something simple to fix. I called a local rv place and they told me I needed to replace my air conditioning unit for 1000. He told me they can not be repaired. I just can not believe this. Updated the list….did it once before but then an older version got brought forward. Will bring an extra chair for the lounge, some alcohol for the bar and a couple of rolls of stamps for the postcard table. Looking forward to meeting you all!

3 first time burners wonder how it goes when you use the toilet (for both of its intended uses) during the whole stay? Recommended, or beyond comprehension?
