keep them doggies rollin

I am in too and if the planets align it will be + friends! We have acquired an old school trike with a basket and are currently engaged in its conversion to something appropriate for the playa.

Very excited to see your "art" piece M! Cargo Cult, well, here goes... I think as Airstreamers we naturally possess some of the Cargo Cult (CC) mystique. Agree/disagree?

We arrive basically intact anywhere and can set up our form of civilization simply by throwing out the welcome mat. On top of that currently settling dust we can park some form of the trappings that we left behind. We survive in Airstream comfort. I think a way we could push the CC envelope might be to go a bit heavy in personalizing the inside of our trailers. Folks are always wanting to go in and have a peek. What if it was like a Faberge egg inside? Would you build a road in the hopes that one of these would drive by?

My theme for "the club house" has always been Nordic hunting lodge. I am thinking to really play this up! This is the cargo I roll with, the sitting room in my brain. Wont you please come in?

M mentioned cardboard boxes. A plain taped up cardboard box is also like Cargo with the promise of something cool inside. Think of that package from amazon! Cardboard+tape=moop. ok, what is a pre-cardboard item? Crate, tin... Large tins usually hold the promise of cookies, small ones sewing supplies. Airstreams are like tins, Barbie calls hers the Tin Pickle.

So... maybe we could all collect tins of all shapes and sizes and gift them filled with all manner of things. Altoid tin filled with some thread, buttons, and a few needles. I have some cloth napkins that I will never use, into a tin with a box of mac n cheese. The mystery and variety of what could be in these tins is endless.

Also, I am totally down to help out with the postcarding table. Since I am such an early riser maybe I could staff it every morning for a few hours, serve coffee and blast Laurence Welk music.

Just throwing it all out...

Lemmings know.

Other pic is firepit I made in welding class.

tins! love it! candies, lip gloss, sunscreen, gum, matches, sewing kits, shampoo, lotion, we could fill them with all sorts of things. as I today, I collect tins, therefore I am! I'm on with the postcard table too. will bring a roll of stamps and lots of scrap booking type materials. what does one wear at ones cargo cult camp? hula skirt? um, the amount of grass I would need to gather could have environmental consequences. pith helmets? South Pacific navel wear? or should I say naval wear?

I'll be bringing Lola and Wanda back as well as Muffie and Carl and a few others rescued and brought to Ms. Bam's Home For Wayward Dummies for rehab. If you haven't met them, I'm sure you'll enjoy their company. They're great listeners.

I like it, Pink. I'll pack some secret packages.

And yay, Huskyfan, for the post cards.

What to wear? Whatever tickles your fancy.
