Hello all,

One of the things I like to do to help you get excited about the year
amongst the final push to get everything done is to set up a discussion
group for you all to use. Please share this with all your camp mates and
invite / encourage them to join.

It is a place where you can post all the cool things your doing and find
out what your neighbors are doing - and perhaps plan a little fun with
them if you like. If not you can just head there to meet who will be your
neighbors in the dust.

There is already a thread set up on eplaya here:
http://eplaya.burningman.com/viewtopic.php?=54645

I've also created one on facebook. The group is under "Burning Man 2012
3:00 Sector" or you can just follow this link:
http://www.facebook.com/12300Sector

This is a place for YOU all to meet/talk but it's not likely that Bravo or
myself will be on it all that often. So if you have a question or problem
please make sure you let your theme camp coordinator know (the person who
forwarded this email to you)and they will contact us directly - they'll
know how.

Thanks,
HepKitten & Bravo

Just wondering, should we do a FaceBook page or something, in case of a technical glich or something? Holly says she can't log back on here for some technical reason. Archie, could you have a run at it with your Media skills?

Got our notifications today, and will pickup the tickets at the PO on Monday. What timing, we just got back grom Yellowstone and Glacier and I was stressing about missing the mailings. See you guys soon.

Is that 3:00 AM or PM?

We are headed to Yellowstone and Glacier now, any words of wisdom. Looks like Madison is booked, will try for Canyon to camp? I am on the forum fine, just having trouble with FB from my own FB page, will keep trying.
Thanks!

Hey Dan, it's all BRC time. To help you find your way home, polar midnightnoon is close to 10:30, and there's nobodies home between about 10:30 and 2:00. Most of our dust weather comes from about 6:00 to 7:00, but I've seen almost snowy dust coming from 12:00 one night. But all times lead to the man, it's lighted by the LampLighters in monk's garb every city evening at 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00. Real oil lamps, pretty cool huh. Does that help?

I can pick up post card stamps and when I get some internet QT will see about card stock and a rubber stamp. Was there a stamp before and if yes......well?

Early Gate Opening

I see that "Checkpoint Charlie" this year is opening six hours earlier than before. Any opines as to how this is going to affect the flow? Will one be able to navigate the playa and find 3:00/H in the dark? Or do you think that it would be better to arrive during daylight hours? I'm getting hyped

Q's...

Yes, we had Playa Post Cards last year (thank you Annie and Bill) and any good paper stock that is post card size will work nicely. People can stamp or doodle or decorate them as they choose. Or a trailer themed design would be great too. That's the beauty of Burning Man. Anything goes and everything works.

It's much easier to arrive and set up in the daylight. It's hard to find people anytime and even harder at night. The Survival Guide suggests that if you arrive after dark it might be wise to wait at the Greeter's Station until morning. Of course it is difficult to guesstimate exact arrival time due to unpredictable lines, but I would try to make it during light hours if at all possible.

As always, Safety Third.

Even if you find the camp, you don't want to park in the dark (this will definitely irritate your wrangler and will take much longer than you imagine)--take it from the emeritus head wrangler. As you come in, you can find a spot near 3:00 on the perimeter road and then dismount and walk in to the "H" intersection. Just ask around. You'd be surprised how many people know their neighborhood. Once you've got your bearings, bag it until the sun comes up.

Would love your extra ticket, Holly, if still available so I may join sisters Gail Newel and Kelli Beingesser in Airstream camp for my virgin year! The number you listed isn't working, so reach me here, at squiddiva@hotmail.com or (559) 288-9365. Thanks, Jill

Hey Perry...do we have a total trailer count for this year?
Is there an upper limit?
And has everyone signed up on our list on the Rally Calendar?
People are still asking if we have room.

Tickets in hand!

Our current ETA is Tuesday afternoon. They'll be 3 of us, my girlfriend Molly and my friend Ned. We're looking forward to meeting everyone.

I'll be driving my Airstream from Boston to Black Rock City in August, my first cross-country tow. It includes a two-week layover in Denver, CO. If anyone has a lead on a parking space near there (unoccupied), please let me know.
