I've been to the ticket section of the website, but it appears to be all about 2012. Is there a list to get on for 2013? If there is I'm overlooking it.

Check out the link I just posted, the photos are amazing as is the experience.
This year, lots of tickets got bought up thinking they could be sold. However, several of my friends had a hard time selling extras or selling tickets from last minute cancellations. This years lottery created a hoarding effect which kept aftermarket and scalper prices very low. Lots of free tickets were available in the bay area for instance. 2011's tickets unexpected sell out in July created very high priced bidding wars on eBay in August 2011.

No. What you see is the result of a detailed plan that is modified in real-time due to "circumstances."

You will have to wait a few months as there are no plans yet, be sure to sign up for the newsletter and they will let you know.

Dan, those photos are fantastic. It's awesome that everyone's pix of Burning Man are so different. So much to see, you can't ever see it all!

Archie, I totally agree. I tell folks never believe anything any one tells you about Burning Man until you see it for your self. Everyone will find their own experience.

Yeah, when the gates open to the event, it's a free for all for camping wherever you want, hopefully not too close nor too far from the portapottys. EXCEPT, there are designated areas of "Placed Theme Camps" where much of the fun and events happen. To be a "Placed Theme Camp" you have to apply early in the year and fulfill several pages of requirements of interactivity with the BM community.
and Thanks so much to everyone for fulfilling our LNT plan, doing our designated MOOP patrol that I bugged out on....I'll learn not to check company email until AFTER the event.

2013 Tickets

So i checked with the ticket authority on the BM website about 2013 tickets and the reply i got was they had no information on 2013 tickets.

I am subscribed to their mailing list. Do they send out an announcement eventually?

Tickets usually go on sale early in the year, with a small number offered before Christmas so people can give them as presents. The Christmas ones are usually a bit more expensive.

Keep reading Jackrabbit Speaks and word will go out.

Hey Taz, any word from the MOOP accounting crew? How does the playa in general appear, compared to other years.

Copy of moop map day three, looks like we did quite well except for a patch in our SW corner.

It's pretty good. The term was "It's Average" is what I'm hearing from the moopers. However no major dunes or piles which was awesome. Inspection is Wednesday, so we'll see.... DA went ahead and gave everyone the whole weekend off, so I think they're feeling good about the upcoming inspection.

Moop map overlayed on satellite image:
http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/7...oopmapday5.jpg

You can see exactly where the moop was. It looks like that dot in the SW corner of Airstreameri is under a car, but a small one. Could it have been an oil spot from a neighbor's vehicle?

A close look at satellite overlay shows the moop dot out of our camp. I was parked very near the flag line, and the indicator is past our rig.

I think Barbie is correct, there was a small SUV there.

Stagr Lee is worried about dust in vents etc. I followed advice found on this forum and , using Gaffer Tape, sealed all the exterior openings/vents - water heater, furnace, stove vent, fridge vents - using said tape and that aluminum covered bubble wrap. Net result was no dust in any unreachable areas. At night when the wind is usually gone I opened one window without any interior dust problems.

Why Gaffer Tape? It can cook in the sun, freeze in the cold, and it will pull off without leaving ANY residue something duct tape, masking tape and most others won't do.
Cheers! )'(

If the fridge was operating, this is a bad idea. Glad it worked out OK for you. In theory, the fridge plenum is completely seatled from the interior, so it shouldn't do any good (nor be required) to tape the fridge vent openings.

Naww...didnt use the fridge at all, so that wasnt an issue.. I didnt want the dust to get into the cooling fan, and all that "interior" space behind the two vent doors - It would have been very difficult to clean all the nooks and crannies in there and the stuff is corrosive if left....so.... It worked out fine.

Cheers
