Ok, its Tuesday evening at BM, and Airstreameri and Geologists had our first interactivity with the city with a Ballet Baret class by Summer, great job Summer! I needed to sneak away to do a night shift at the DMV, Tuesday night is the busiest.
The What Where When shows 10 pages of Tuesday Only events, Plaid and Pancakes, Bacon without Borders, construct a fire tornado, Juggling, Evening with the Mad Scientist, Beatles Night at Club Verboten, and of course Tuto Tuesday Tea party. Get your bike into a higher gear!

last year's bulletin, your mileage will vary

Hello Da Costa and all other Airburners, I'd like for DaCosta to check out "leilalopezsongs.com" and think about how he can use his lasers, smoke machine , etc when she performs. She has agreed to perform at our camp in exchange for fun and friendship. It would be great if we could make her feel special.

OK I forgot, it's Wednesday morn, assuming I wake up in the morning, coffee first, Cheerios maybe, maybe following my nose to the smell of bacon, hoping the whiteout doesn't come before the first adult beverage and the just being a wide eyed child waiting to discover what's new on the playa.

Mmmmmm....bacon on the playa.

Time for morning coffee, and the debate about heating up the interior of the trailer vs. wandering off to find some coffee somewhere, hoping we have one nearby like last year. That was truly decadent.

Ah coffee nearby. That was delightful.

Not to mention the "Flintstones" theme blaring from cartoon camp across the road at 6am.

All this playa talk is sure making me feel Burny.

So is there something we should be doing/crafting/organizing for our winging it/flying by the seat of our pants theme camp?

Besides stock piling beverages and shopping for the latest in Geologist-wear fashion of course.

Perry? Mark? Zep? Anyone??

Yep, any minute now one of us will be hit with inspiration... and it better be soon because the camp application due date isn't far off.

BACON
I could delegate someone to be chief delegater to round up
BACON
flavored post cards for Bill and Ann, and
BACON
flavored game toss stuff, and
BACON
flavored geo textiles
(We gotta keep away from the food police somehow if we do food, so if it's not technically food but it smells like BACON, and is edible like BACON, is it our fault if someone eats it?)
oh did some one mention
BACON?
its funny how that's the most favored food group on the dusty playa, all day I roam in the dusty roads, hoping to find some BACON, the sweet, salty, protein, called BACON

So it's Wednesday evening on the playa, Airstreameri and Geologist( ) presents a great involved talk by Gary until dark. Gary tells me he's going to be on his way to London from Moscow about the time of Burningman this year, so I'm casting for more geologists to give thoughtfull multisyllabic arm waving yawning scientific talks and maybe be near the camp to give misleading questions to answers presented by the passerby. I announced at this months Geological Society of Nevada meeting if any of them were going to Burningman, or thinking of going, we had a prefered site picked out for them if they had a talk they wanted us to help brutalize. The evening's talk about Lithium geochemistry, Lithium economics, Lithium mining around the world, Lithium mining in Nevada had everyone escaping before the lights came on (to go take some Lithium I presume) so I didn't amass a great pocket full of business cards. Darn.
16 pages of Wednesday one time events in the What Where When. 5AM 50K Ultramarathon, Barbie Death Camp Pancake and Bacon, MBA Wednesday,(bring your diploma)at The DETH end, oh yeah, the Californian's "Geology of the Black Rock Desert" at Earth Guardians, Bacon without Borders camp, Rusty Rebar at Center Camp, Propane Ignition Workshop, another 5K run, Wine Tasting and Sharing at Camp DOA.

last year's bulletin, your mileage will wobble

Maybe we need someone who can explain the strange attraction between aluminum and black desert rocks.

Perry are you our designated theme camp application filer again this year?

Can we file the same way we did last year and then add some new fun activities?

Tutu Tuesday Happy Hour?
Wednesday potluck with Rock Talk?
Thursday Geo Carnival with a variety of games and entertainment?
(Pin The Tail on the Geologist?)
Ongoing Bacon Flavored Dance Party?
Perhaps something Airstreamy?
Anyone wanna talk Silver Twinkies?

Some other oddly geo and slightly off Airstream yet not quite tasteful event(s)?

Ehhya, unless another foolish.. er addled person does it for me. Zep is looking for the size of the streets, which I suspect are the same as last year. I like the list, with whatever new twists it gets, in the next bits of the spring and summer.

A different contribution to the Playa

I have a new skill that I am acquiring. I have a even shot at being a licensed massaged therapist by the time I am at burning man. I will give a one hour massage to those among the Airstreameri who make a serious contribution to the culture of the Playa. Personally I am in to doing one person at a time in my new life.
