It's Roboshaw - the long rickshaw type scratchbuilt art car with a motor far ahead up front. Pictures are on Bart's webpage (link in post #19). The "Roboshaw@Sun" link shows it pretty well, including flame effects.

Hey cool, an art car! Tell us, tell us!
Generators and A/C a must for us old far....ts, but you seasoned burners will manage. We don't get too warm before noonish anyway. Then everyone has their own tricks to block out the sun.

Great - that's good to hear. I'd probably make up some Reflectex inserts for the windows to cut down on solar heating effects... Heh - I see you have the same blue glow from underneath your 'stream as I have from the art car....

I bring a genny and do use my AC.
But then I'm a coastal person and really need the mid day cool down.

And strangely people seem to keep knocking on my door asking to come inside.

To burn or not to burn? That is the question!

We are on the fence this year. Really haven't decided. We are out for several months before and cleanup is a pain. Don't mind the heat, dust etc. love the atmosphere and the people.

Will decide later in the year and scrounge for tickets on Ebay.

Currently in the Keys at a music festival and on our way to Mardi Gras and as many other "questionably socially acceptable" places as we can find.

How well do propane fridges work at Burning Man?

Got a note that our tickets have shipped ... which got me to thinking: how do our propane fridges deal with the heat @ Burning Man? This will be my sixth year there, but I've always done the "tent/monkey hut/cooler in the shade" thing before.

We'll still end up w/ our usual pumped evap system, since our Tin Pickle is a '71 and has no gray water tank.

I had trouble with mine last year. It worked fine at home in Boulder Creek, but at the playa I couldn't get it to work. Partly because of the wind, I think. I will be trying again this year though. I was lucky to be near the ice vendors last year.

Propane fridge works like a Harry Potter charm?

I have two years now of camping in the desert with this fridge and once they replaced the "motherboard." is has been fine. Can you bleeping believe that my fridge has a motherboard. Good luck and allow room for ice.
