Goggles, both clear and shaded if you can. A wide-brim hat, a light for you to wear, and one for your bike. A bike lock. A respirator or good quality dust masks. Water, and lots of it. The ONLY things you can buy there are ice and coffee. Also bring plenty of trash bags. And a couple of boxes of baby wipes will be your best friend, no BS
If you have a generator, bring it, and lots of gas. You will wish you had AC at some point.
We try to sleep from sun-up until early afternoon or later to beat the heat, if we can. afternoons, we serve the best food on the playa to the masses and recieve wonderful appreciation! Nights are spent carousing, and practicing carousing, and then theres some post carousing follow-up, and then we sometimes try to muster enough energy to do it a second time. Sometimes we just lay down on the desert and stare at the unbelievable things drifting by in the night sky.
I can't wait to get home!

1) If I had a dog(?) like that I would also need a liquor store!

2) Just bring as much booze as you can, and we'll send back what we don't use!

3) What do you do when the gps' disagree?

4) I just got my EARLY ENTRY PASS! I'm leaving Wednesday night, and will be live, on playa Thursday morning.

Welcome Home!

That's not my dog. Mine is the most beautiful and smartest in the world. Although sometimes I wish I owned a liquor store.

Isn't the recommendation a gallon per person a day. Not counting bathing needs.

When the GPS's disagree I always go with the one with the best dinner plans and the most credit left on her card.

Need any help? Will be in Fernly Thursday, ready to move at a moments notice. The situation is always fluid.

Hi I hope to join you folks, coming down from the NW so will not make it to the Desert Rose. Can I hook up with you at the camp? I will bring an ice maker and a couple 2.4 KW generators. I have been to the burn before but this is my first in the Airstream. Plan to arrive on the 30th and stay for the duration.

I base out of Whidbey Island near Seattle, live much of the time on a sailboat, spent 5 months last summer exploring the coastal wilderness of British Columbia and Alaska.
Plan to party like a sailor.
Burning Man is a great seaport town-just needs a little water-there be pirates a plenty.

Sure Matey...come on down.

Show up around 3 and B ish and I'm sure you can squeeze in.

The last few years we've had so much room left over we've had many late coming SOB's join our camp.

No guarantees on placement however.
You may not get the site near the pool/spa or the one closest to the Food Court.

On the road to BRC

Stopped at the Big Texan in Amarillo. Had the Mountain Oysters (fried testicles) for lunch. The menu exclaimed if you are looking for seafood we recomend the shrimp. Excellent! Homeward bound. See you in a week.

Parking

I know, I know...I am obsessing about the parking. I am trying to make room for the pool that Bam has requested. I would like some input on how some of you feel about unhooking your tow vehicles. If we are not having to deal with 40 to 55 foot lengths and only 20 to 35 foot lengths it gives a little more flexibility. The TV's would still be in the camp, maybe just parked around the perimeter, or at one end of the camp.

As always, any ideas or suggestions are always welcome.

Smile

I prefer to be unhooked, bedroom is in the back. I hope it's possible to have the truck parked nearby to transfer gear and water I am hauling to the stream. I plan to arrive Monday afternoon. Let me put in a request for a space on the beach, left end of the surf break
