Bunkhouse and/or Kids Rally!!!

It's the Better Late than Never Safari Bunkhouse / Airstreamin' Kids Rally!!! It's been talked about before. We're a little late on getting details pinned down, as I noticed tonight when I made reservations . The park looks like a downright awesome place to have a kids-oriented rally, and that's what drew us to it. I'll preface all the info below with this-- there's not a ton of sites available, so if you're thinking about going...do it quick!!!

Location: Fall Creek Falls State Park in Spencer, Tennessee
When: We're there June 18th - June 22nd in Area B #139
Park Website: http://tnstateparks.com/parks/about/fall-creek-falls

Our thought was that if anyone is able to make it, they could pick any days within that larger window (or the whole window!). There's a ton of activities here, although many do have costs above the campsite fee--like the Zipstream (I know, right!) zip line. Waterfall viewing and hiking appear to be outstanding!

We're going to have an absolutely great time, we'd love it if some fellow Airstreamers could make it, too! Our two kids are 9 & 10, girl & boy. Bunkhouse owners, Airstreamers with kids, Airstreamers who are kids at heart... all are welcome. Anyone with advice or input on details about anything, you're welcome to get in touch with me about it or just do what needs to be done and tell me about it. Sorry for the late planning, I hope everyone with an interest in attending can make it happen!!!

To help you better plan your trip to Fall Creek Falls SP, I've looked up the cost of a few activities they offer:

Zipline $50/Person
Horseback Riding $25/Person
Swimming Pool $2 entry/Person

The park offers paddleboat and canoe rentals. I'll post when I find prices. Like all state parks, they offer many activities free of charge!

Hoping this is the first of many rallies with a focus on creating awesome memories for kids (and us parents, too)!!!!! I'd love for this to become an annual event. Hold your horses, Dave... better get this one in the books, first!!!! Ha!

This is a great idea. I wish we could make it.
We have 2 boys (9 & 11), and they love camping in the Airstream!

That looks like so much fun and such a great idea! I wish we could go for those dates. Hopefully we can make the next one that gets planned.

I've got this one on the calendar, but the during-the-week schedule makes it tough for us. We've planned-up most of my vacation days this year already with vacations, so taking 2-3 days off for this one during the week will be tough. Would love to make it, though. Being in east TN, it makes the drive not too bad for us.

We will be in Kentucky at Natural Bridge State Park arriving Friday, June 16 for 2 nights. This may be a better fit (and closer) for you guys if you'd like to join us.

This place looks pretty cool. It has a ski-lift and a Saturday Night Hoe Down! Ha!

We're coming!

We just reserved site 140, area B for June 18-22. We will have at least the 4 youngest kids with us (boys are 6 & 9 and girls are 12 & 14). We hope to have the 4 teen boys (15-19) with us as well.

was just googling "bunkhouse" stuff on forums to see if I missed much in the past several months...I doubt I can make it this year...my whole work leave situation in the past year STINKS! Oh well, it will shift around I think for 2018.

I will keep open the possibility of making an appearance, but it is doubtful

Getting ready to hit the road early next week on a long trip that will lead to Falls Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee for the bunkhouse/kids rally. If you've not made plans for that weekend and have the ability--consider joining us! It'll be a great time for all!!!

Regrettably, we will not be able to attend the rally this year. Rally on without us!

Sorry we will miss this! Didn't find out about it in time and will be at another campground the very following day. Please let us know when the next one will be scheduled because if it is on the east coast, we will be there!

Sorry to hear, guys! No worries, we'll report back on the suitability of the park for a good rally. Seems like it'll be a fun place. I'll post some pics when I can.

Sorry we missed y'all this year. Hope we can join you next year with the grandkids. We have them here now for Vacation Bible School (VBS) at our church. It's every year the week after Father's Day every year [emoji2]

So how was it? Will there be another? We just got back from staying in a yogi bear park. The kids LOVED it. Would be interested in another get together next year, if planned on a weekend.
