We are home also, got home no problems tho it was a bit tense towing in those winds. We did stay off the wind funnel called I-44 tho and took the back way home thru Roaring River--nice senic drive and actually, a few miles shorter! Got the trailer re-winterized and partially unloaded (did I mention I HATE the cold???!!!!) and are settled down to wait for warmer weather! '
Thanks Steve for all your hard work, it was a great rally as usual and we really enjoyed Legends, thanks to Rob Horton for the tickets. We really appreciated being able to see that great show.
Hope to see you all soon at another rally near us! Maybe an impromptu get-together at Roaring River, with some trout fishing and a nice fish fry soon?????

Post Your Photos!
The winds pushed me home at an all time high 12.2 mpg with a gas engine.
As with previous rallies, I've created a page where we can post our photos. I have about 33 posted already. There's a button up on the top of the page that allows you to upload your own photos to the page and I encourage all the photographers to do so. Last year's Silver Stars & Stripes Gallery almost hit 200 photos.
There's also a button to download all the photos or you can pick and chose individual pictures.

We made it home at 3pm, tried a different route by way of Springfield, Mo. It may have been further in mileage but it cut 1 hour off of our road time. From now on when we pull the trailer we will go by way of Springfield. My sister and her husband went the back road we clocked the mileage and time as we both come the crossroad of Vinita, OK. By way of Springfield it was 9 miles longer but we were 25 minutes faster than them. Any way the wind was horrible all the way home. At one point on Hwy from Tulsa to OKC James passed a semi and the cross winds caught us and push us into him and he went off onto the shoulder. Then we had a joker pull a U turn on the turnpike and we were doing 70, James had to slam on his breaks, I am sure we left rubber marks on the highway.
All in all we had a wonderful time, enjoyed seeing all our friends and really enjoyed all the great food. I want to thank all of those who brought items to give away at the drawing. I won a beautiful quartz/sterling pendent custom made by Isadoa, I am wearing it today it is so beautiful. There was the famous crock pot Mexican hat that went to tinloaf. I'm not sure who did the flamingo machine embroidery cap and towels, there were scruffies for washing dishes, set of yard flamingos, lighted hearts, wine, flag pendent, and a cactus cookie jar with matching salt and pepper shakers. I believe Bill collected canned food for the RV park to give to the local church.
Thanks Steve for all your hard work, it was a great rally as usual and we really enjoyed Legends, thanks to Rob Horton for the tickets. We really appreciated being able to see that great show.

My wife and I sure enjoyed all the pictures. Gene has not e-mailed us the $$$ amount yet. We are getting a little worried? We ar sure we will get some idea the week. Looks like you all had fun, and we look forward to seeing you all at the next AS rally.

I just realized that I forgot to give a special thanks out to Happycampers.
Happycampers own the Argosy named Costalotta, whose restoration can be viewed on the thread Costalotta from Start to Finish. Marvin and Annie graciously gave me both of their Flexsteel rv sofa beds. They didn't like them that much, and they would be perfect for my project. I will be giving them a free leak testing on their Argosy trailers in trade for them.

Thanks for the Great time
Steve.... Thanks for the great time at the Branson Rally. Rob..thanks so much for the tickets for the Legends Show.. was Great. Really enjoyed it. The best food in Branson was had Sat night with our potluck. Thanks to all who donated all the door prizes. The cactus cookie jar and salt and pepper shakers will look great in our other Argosy.named...Cost Less.. .. 1975 28' Argosy...no we will not be parting with Costalotta..
We went south on 55 from Sikeston ... terrible dust storms.. visibility down to 10 feet... very scary..only to 155 than to 412 ... Well to make a long story short we are now in Marietta Ohio... it is cold ... I am not impressed... .. with the weather... lol... anyway we had a great time and yes Steve we did pick up all the foam we needed for the two couches for $212 in Knoxville..

Thanks to Steve and Amy, Bob Horton, and all the folks that made delicious things for us to eat, the Branson Spring rally was a smashing success. Not to early to start thinking about some possible dates for our fall trip to Branson. Nancy and I had a great time!

I'm a little late in adding my words of appreciation to all that helped make this a great weekend. Yeah, the food was exceptional, but the best part was again being with and around such a great group of people. Looking forward to seeing you all again, wherever down the road that might be.

Drapes
I have some material for the curtains in the AS....I know this isn't the right place to put this post but I wanted the opinion of people that have seen our AS at Rally's to give me their opinion.
I'm going to try and make them myself!!!!! Wish me luck
Like? Yes // No?

I think your two main colors of Red and Tan are in the curtains, and therefore a good idea. I would pleat them or at least make them scrunch a little.

Yes ...this was a sample piece I had lying around...Funny thing is...I bought this material over 6 years ago to use on another project which I never did. I found this roll in the garage all covered with plastic and it has 10 or more yards on it! I feel blessed that it is a good match and I will be able to have drapes/curtains in the AS.
