We happened upon it on the way to Branson as a one-nighter. The falls and hiking were really nice! Highly recommend it. Great place for a rally...

John,
If you refer to the BBQ competition then you are welcome to do it however you want. Home, Branson, anywhere. I plan to bring my smoker for Fridays potluck, and a family meal on Thursday.

Gary + Karen:
Dogs are welcome at the campground and several will be there. Just come to be prepared to have fun and meet some really great people. Look forward to meeting you there.

Gary and Karen,
What happens at a rally? If you visit this link October Branson Rally and start at post 700, you can follow through several pages of pictures and talks about what we did in October.
For full information on the rally you can visit the Branson Rally Sign-up info page. Some people show up early (Like ourselves), and some people stay late after the "Official" dates. We have a potluck on Friday night, and a cooking competition Saturday night that is judged for prizes. For the potluck, we just ask to bring a dish that will feed 4-6 people. If you look at the food pics from October, you will see the abundance of great food. Most leftovers from Friday are brought to the cooking competition on Saturday. This years competition is BBQ if you are up to it.
Other things we do at the rally. On Saturday we have trailer open house from 12-3pm. This is completely voluntary for people who want to show what they have done to their trailer. People may be very interested in yours seeing that it is an older vintage model, but it would be your choice to participate. Last year we had a portable fire pit that we all gathered around nightly to talk, play some live music, and have a little wine. We lost Airhog1, Jaxon, and Artstream from last rally...so I cannot carry the entire band by myself (Sorry), but we can always figure something out y'all.
There will be LOTS of dogs. I think that over half the people last time had a 4 legged friend with them.
Food, fellowship, and fun is our Branson rally....don't forget the knowledge sharing you may receive about your vintage unit if another vintage owner is there (Juel, Alumatube, Jim Lee, John Baker, Silverflash, and I all own vintage units and have had to do work on them).
Other than all of this, we are in Branson, with tons of stuff to do. There is a log home building expo that weekend that a few of us plan to attend as well.
I found my 68 owners manual for you.

Maybe next spring we can get a whole hog on a spit and roast that for Saturday. I hear they do that at Springstream in northern Georgia.

TT,
There are PLENTY of spots left at the campground, especially after we lost three members to other obligations. In my signature line there is a link to the sign up page. On that page you will have all the information you need to be a part of this great biannual rally.'

John: I appreciate your sincere discretion in positively influencing the barbeque contest, but I'll be you won't even need any help because everyone enjoys a good smoked chicken. Look forward to seeing you in Branson.

It's going to be tough judging BBQ when not everyone is going to enter the same thing.
How does a judge weigh a good chicken vs pork vs brisket?
Bill and Becky...care to weight in?
