I have the first weekend of April on my calendar but it seemed several folks were making their travel plans.
Before I loose any sleep I thought I should confirm the rally dates.

I was just asked if a Vintage section was planned. I didn't know but it's something to think about.

We all bleed silver. No distinct sections are planned for this event, and we will be cobbled together.

On your way down 44...there are several state parks within 15 miles of 44. Robertsville SP, Meramec SP, Ondondaga SP...in that order going south from STL toward Springfield. There are also some private campgrounds and of course Wallymarts. At the Hwy 100 & 44 Washington MO exit, about 45 miles south of STL, there is a "full-service" truck stop as well.
Safe travels.

NO. . it is 18!
I freaked out when you posted the map/layout of the campground because 28 is by the hwy. 18 is down in the woods. How do you spell wheehuuuu?

Ice Storm
Becky and I are in the third day of the "February 2008 Springfield MO Ice Storm Rally" We're the only trailer in attendance this year but we're trying not to let that get us down. Not a lot of formal activities for this impromptu rally. Just staying warm, watching movies, listening to the trees crash down around us.
Gotta go write my name in the snow....

Hey, we had that same rally here in Oklahoma; however, it was the "December, Dent Your Airstream Under the Ice Covered Trees Rally" There were two nice trailers at my rally. The dent prize was won by the 31ft Airstream, while the steel end-cap Argosy was unable to get even a small scratch. First prize was being plugged into the 5500 watt generator, second prize was staying in the house and freezing your --- off. I was able to participate equally in both catagories.

Bill and Becky, do you have power? Hope the Airstream is safe, as in under no overhanging ice-encased tree limbs! What a year for ice events, and now I hear we may be in the paths of another one (after weekend). Sorry we missed your rally (yea, really) but I'm sure a good time has been had by all! Thinking of you in sunnier and milder (for the moment anyway) mid-Missouri. ~G

No power since Monday. All the ice melted today so the utility company should run out of excuses soon. Maybe tonight we'll have a campfire and some s'mores.

Hope you and the trailer made it without any dents. You have no idea how much you'll appreciate the electric power when it comes back on. It's such a great feeling. Showers, coffee, TV, heat.

We live in Ozark MO. so we know what it's like around these parts. It was a frozen tundra! I can't remember ice like this before.
Today was beautiful. I hope your power is back on.

Bill,
Hope all your power is back on and the ice is staying away...of course there is more on the way.
We have decided to make Armadillo Eggs for our potluck untry (Assuming we can get there on Friday night).
Breakfast sausage stuffed with a cube of cheddar and a slice of jalapeno. They are then smoked for about 2 hours.
Anyone here like to canoe or go on float trips?

Steve - that looks yummy!
I worked on a rally logo for you (mentioned on another thread). if you can live with it, i'll get it put into the rotation. it's very "branson" but not very airstream...
i shortened the rally name because Spring is in the air just doesn't fit on the tiny graphic. i can alter text if needed.

Janet,
BBQ is the spring cook-off, so perhaps something BBQish, and more AS.
