I think that having Ansty McClain in Branson is a wonderful idea. He is performing this weekend in southeastern Tenn. and I was trying to figure out if we could go that far so this is even better. I think if you can somehow post it on the general airforum site even more would sign up for it. Maybe we van take over the entire campground.
I have been in contact with Compton Ridge regarding the Antsy show. I suggested that they book him for a show and use it as a way to increase their sales and attendance early in the season. They think it is an excellent idea and are contacting the chamber of commerce about it.
If this goes off without a hitch, we could move the rally to the South/Main Campground location to be near the performance area. The pavilion there is likely where the show would be. I would miss us having our pavilion to ourselves on the other nights, but we would likely have the numbers to usurp the pavilion anyhow.
My wife and i are wanting to go to this rally (it will be are first)
but neither one of will know if we can make the reservation for a spot until late feb if not early March. my ? is will this be to late ? thanks

Osolow, My suggestion is to make a reservation and cancel it later. Check with their cancelation policy. I was set to go in October but due to family issues, I had to cancel about 2 or 3 weeks before the event.

We had to cancel what was to be our 1st rally last Oct. in Branson because of a death in the family.
We had put a $20. deposit down and they refunded 1/2 which was fare.

I would call them. SInce our last rally the campgrounds were purchased by a corporation from the mom and pop owners. The new owning corp may be more inclined to return all your deposit since it wants to start out on the right foor with their new clients.
As I write this post I notice there have been 3100 views to this thread.
That's a lot of streamers dreaming of their first rally, just like I was last year.
