In Branson and tucked into site 106. Drove down from Springfield this morning. We had some rain there - including a fairly heavy shower - starting around 7AM. Was at the KOA on the West side and when I got over around the 60/65 interchange didn't look like they had gotten much if any. Hopefully the forecast will turn out like so many others to be wrong.

The good side is you all have a great pavilion there with lots of space under cover so you all should be able to stay dry regardless of the rain. Hope you all have fun. Wish I could be there but we have a Rams home game on Sunday that we have to support.

Aaarrrrrrggghhhh!!!!

AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!! Took the Dodge in to get the emergency brake fixed and the breaks checked because they felt funny. Got an 8am appointment so I can get back to putting Tar Baby back together for Branson. Didn't get out of there till 11:30 and guess what isn't fixed? YES! The emergency break! They didn't have the part. Got all my fluids changed out but have to go back 7:30am tomorrow.
Also ... got some glass to fix the broken window in TB, got the old glass out only to find that I need some black stuff to go behind the glass. CRAP! Who in STL. has butyl tape? Guess when it started to rain yesterday? All of the lights are hanging by the wires, there is a big hole where the temp patch for the water heater door was, the window is covered with bubble wrap, the new umbilical is temp wire-nuted to the stub of the old one, the break assembles are sitting in the front seat of the dodge, the break-away switch has a different mount, and I have yet to buy a battery ... + the homes kitchen cold water faucet won't turn off and the furnace won't turn on ...
This is one of those "Ugly" days ...

I may not get to Branson till Saturday ... 2010!

We have a mini caravan of 2. We just passed Sullivan Mo and have come up behind a newer AS.

It's raining too hard to tell much else.

I feel my toes and fingers growing webs. It has been raining since about 7 am this morning. At least we are tucked in nice and cozy, nothing is leaking, Jim cheats at cards and there is a nice bottle of wine. Tomorrow it will be nice.

After I got the whine out of my system I ran errands, washed clothes and proceeded to put wine back into the system ...

Well the rain stopped awhile ago, and we are all relaxing before we head off to potluck. We had quite a team building exercise with replacing the hitch for Rich Hog before he left.

Everyone is here except a few more people expected to arrive today.

Steve

I was in Sprungfield (it was leaking) all week and was heading north/east on I-44 from 3:30 to 7:00...saw a couple of you.
Have a great time! Oh, yeah...I left you some water in the creeks.

I made cinnamon rolls this morning if anybody is reading this, plenty for everyone if you would like some fresh and hot out of the oven. Come and get 'em!

No...the sun IS out, and it is a fabulous and beautiful day. I gained 6 pounds from the pot luck last night, and look forward to more of the same, and chili tonight. Lots of trailers to tour in a short while.

Steve

Back in Houston

Hi Guys, Thanks to all who worked to get me hitched up yesterday. We made it back to Yewston an hour ago and are packing and a cleaning. Got to Caddo lake last night at 11:30 outside Texarkana. Camps were all booked up but found a vacant site under construction. I was able to park the trailer facing down hill slightly so the upward tilt of the trailer was canceled by the incline. Wish I could have stayed over for the Potluck and Chilli. Bad think is I didn't get to see anybody's trailers and get the stories. Will do so next time. Thanks again, we're with you in spirit.

Chili cook off over, and beer can Bill and Nell are the winners. Tina and Mike were second and Isadora took third with their vennison chili. Everyone won a prize of some kind. There are a couple small groups having fires, and others are watching college football. Thanks to all who donated prizes, and made this rally one to remember.
