We are going down to Branson this fall but will be at America's Best. We had a reservation this spring but had to cancel due to Patty's hospitalization. They held our deposit for a future date. I have to look at the work schedule but we tend to head down on Columbus Day weekend. Weather is usually perfect that time of year. We've already got the Silver Dollar City tickets so we will spend at least a day or two there. If you guys are at another campground, we will try to stop by wherever you book at it.

Cooper Creek is on Lake Taneycomo which has great Trout fishing in case anyone is interested.

Other options so far:

Cooper Creek Campgrounds Full Hook-ups at $27/Night and 10% Good Sams Card. They have a pavilion, but it is rather small and fits less than 30 people. Cable is included. This is close to table rock lake.

America's Best Campgrounds Full Hook-ups at $26/Night with 10 trailers or more. Pavilion is free for the first two hours for rally use, but is charged afterwards (Lame). Cable is included and free Wi-Fi.

Ozark Country Campgrounds
Full Hook-ups for $15-24/Night depending on your club or military status. They have an outdoor pavilion and an indoor clubhouse for our use, and offer free Wi-Fi and cable. This is right on Table Rock Lake.

Table Rock Lake State Park
Full Hook-ups, Water/Electric Sites, or Electric Only sites are available at different costs with a discount for Seniors .

Always interested in what others have to say. Let me hear it.

As promised at the Silver Stars and Stripes rally, I am working on Fall Branson. I am looking at Table Rock SP area 2, Shenanigans RV park, and a few others. Please feel free to weigh in about other parks in the area. It would be nice if a pavilion was available nearby and didn't cost to use. Hookups are variable person to person, but if the same goes for Branson like the last rally, almost everyone wants full hookups. One more place I spoke to was Oak Grove RV park. They offer a rate of 27.57/day including tax for groups. They also have nice facilities, and a FREE pavilion.

Send me the info, and let's get this rally booked.

Nothing yet?

Hey G Man...you are quoted on another page, "I AM IN".

Rules say you can't break plans on two Branson rallies in a row. Too bad, so sad, deal with it, and bring your guitar to Branson.

I received another call from Oak Grove a few minutes ago.

They offer 100% paved camping pads (A nice improvement over Compton Ridge). They also have full hook-ups, 63 cable channels, and free wi-fi all for our group rate of $26.43 per night tax included. They are 3 miles from Table Rock Lake at the hatchery, and 3 miles from Lake (River) Taneycomo. Their pavilion is free, and they are willing to hold spots till the 15th of September.

Unless I hear or find a better deal in the next day, I am going to book Branson at the Oak Grove.

The news is that the guard drill schedule isn't out for October yet, and until I know if I have drill that weekend....I cannot make plans. Drill won't be the 2nd weekend due to the holiday, but could easily be the 3rd. Drill is never usually the 4th weekend.

You'll know when I know.

ALCON:

I have not received any other thoughts about areas to hold the Branson Rally for Fall 2008. I have decided that it will be held at the Oak Grove RV Park. All sites are full hook-ups and paved with cable and wi-fi included in the fee of $26.43 per night including tax. There is a free pavilion for us to use within walking distance. Even though many people won't leave the grounds, we are still close for the others who want to leave for a show or cracker barrel (Cough..Cough..Carl).

I will call tomorrow morning and book the rally. I was told they will hold all sites for forum members until the 15th of September. After that is is first come, first served.

Look for the rally sign-up page on the calendar.

As a side note, I just ordered my Seal Tech 430 R leak tester, and I am busy on my website. I will bring the tester in the event that someone wants to have a leak test done on their trailer.

Rally Booked....

Oak Grove will hold sites for Airforum members until September 15th. We are arriving the 16th and staying until the 19th. Our spot is right up at the pavilion (Like always).

Working on my recipe now...I refuse to take 3rd place again

We'll be there!

we'll get signed up soon as we can get somebody to answer the phone at Oak Grove! Maybe we'll have to leave a call-back message.

Jim's eyes lit up over the chili-cook-off. You guys might have some competition. I said I might make chili and he said no, he would. Now I make a good chili, but he says it's a guy thing.........

Sandy,

We had both men and women competing last fall, and even join contributers in the competition. We will have three judges again this year, and I believe Wiegand01 will sacrifice himself to being a judge (I hear he loves Chili). Amy and I both made an entry last year, but we took 3rd overall behind Rickastream and Billberk.
