D,

When will you know for sure if you are coming down Friday night? The campground has you registered for Friday as it stands right now.

Yes I do have one, and I will bring it, in fact I had already thought about it when I saw your post. Guess I should put it in the Argosy while I'm thinking about it so I don't forget it! I think I have a couple of bottles of bubbles also.

Steve,
2aspirins and I drove thru the campground over the weekend while camping in the area. There were plenty of large rigs, but some sites looked pretty tight to me. Hopefully management has taken length of tow rigs into consideration when assigning our sites. This perhaps is more on my mind because of experience I had at State Park Marina this weekend. I had a nice long site, but it intersected the road at 90 degree angle. This, combined with fact there were sites directly across the road and ditches on both side of entry into site, necessitated reassignment. Thankfully, they had one. Anyway, I'm sure it will work out fine.

Dennis,

From the looks of it, you guys should be fine with your site. The only bad part is that you are next to a HOG.

Wow.....

So I sent a polite email to the park owner asking if we could move some people around to places that were occupied by other campers (Campers that are not currently there, and are set to arrive the same time or after us). The park owner replied that he wasn't changing it, and that he thinks our group is going to be a problem to work with. He then stated that we can go ahead and cancel if we want, and that he will have NO problems filling our reserved spots.

The park owner has made that last statement a few times, and is starting to annoy me. I replied telling him I thought it was wrong to assume he would have issues from us, and telling us that we can "Cancel" was not polite at all.

Maybe Compton Ridge wasn't so bad after all...and they have PLENTY of spots

Anyone care to chime in on this?

Steve

Well, since we have already paid for our spot, it might be difficult to get him to refund money if he is going to be hard to deal with. Whatever the rest of the group wants, we are open to suggestion. I can't imagine that he thinks we are a hard bunch to get along with.
