AIR Midwest Black River Rendezvous

I am ecstatic! My mechanic cleared my '75 Eldorado for towing duty so I am going to be able to make the Black River Rendezvous! Just spoke with Patty and I will be in site 209.

Now, I have the factors pulling together so that I will be getting the Airstream and Cadillac back on the road in the next few days. My shakedown cruise will be to Parkers RV Park and Campground in Yuma, Tennessee. I have been planning this trip ever since some friends purchased the park and began refurbishing it - - it should be an interesting trip of about 180 miles with the top down on the Eldorado.

Will be looking forward to another great rally!

Kevin

Anyone graphic savvy that can design a rally logo for me to use for button magnets?

Also, for anyone on facebook I have a page started for the rally.

This thread has been dead. Time to resurrect. We are arriving two weeks from tonight. Nobody came up with any graphic ideas, so button magnets are on hold for the time being. We picked up a couple that will be attending in a rented Airstream from Airstream of Chicago (Our good friend Steve at AOC referred them).

Looking forward to having some fun in the creek and seeing the state parks.

*Cricket chirping*

So a week since my last post, and nothing from nobody. I guess the rally has capped out at 10 trailers (9 Airstreams and 1 SOB).

We should be leaving around 3 PM from the house, and getting to the rally around 5:00-5:30.

I would start a potluck list for Saturday night, but looks like we'll just play it be ear once we get there.

Steaming chicken? I think your dutch oven is better suited to a fine dessert like he usually makes .

We haven't decided anything yet. We have several things up in the air still.

Hi guys,
We just got into Kansas on our way back from the restoration rally. Looking forward to another good weekend of camping. No idea what our food will be. That is up to Evelyn.

Hey Greg,

I have been following the journey that Evelyn and you have been going on via facebook. Looks like it was a great time.

I'm here. Easy drive down from Wentzville after getting my brakes adjusted at Bill Thomas and a trailer tire repaired at the place next door. Same tire that picked up a nail in NM last December got another. How lucky can you get? Both were very slow leaks so didn't cause any major problem. Looks like there might be a bit of rain heading this way. Maybe it'll cool things off a bit. Everyone have a safe trip!

AIR Midwest Black River Rendezvous

My plan was to arrive this afternoon, but problems with my elderly father have delayed me. His failing health is one reason that I am not attending the International this year - - I am averaging two or three trips per week to the assisted living center where he now resides. Unless something major happens between now and tomorrow noon, I should be on the road by noon tomorrow . . .

Kevin.
