Honeyman is AWESOME! If you want to rent paddle boats or canoes (?) get there before 4:30pm. You can also rent sand boards for the dunes.. cool... maybe for the kids! The spots are a little tight-ish (or not, I can't recall exactly, but private enough), but there is a great playground for the kids (can't remember your travelling band).

It's pretty and the ATVs are very restricted in the campground, no running or loading, etc. We didn't stay long enough to explore but the dunes look really cool to hike- and the lake(s) would be great to float on (get there early)!

I got it!!! Mathew McConaughey must be coming! Didn't he help the victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans (where Mardi Gras is held)? That's the only thing I can relate to your rather whimpy hint!

Come on now Janet......you can give us a better hint!

I don't know if anyone needs it but I'll go ahead and bring the BIG coffee pot as usual. Someone else has to bring the grounds...

Janet,

Since you're apparently not co-operating in this inquiry and refuse to give more hints ......I think I have the mystery guest.......Rich Luhr........he's an LSU grad and a Fat Tuesday alum (confidential source) and he's coming out to do an article on the largest Airforums rally ever! His blog says he's in Wyoming........and heading west.

...........or it's the incoming President of WBCCI , Jerry Larson, who will be wearing his white tuxedo to our Saturday nite soiree!

Wire a Suburban hot water tank?

Greetings Everyone,
Will someone be handy and dandy enough to help me wire my hot water tank? The tank has been installed for the past year but I don't know enough about wiring to complete the project. It would be appreciated if someone can show me what to do. I know the wiring from the fuse box to the water tank is there. I'm pretty sure the wire is live as well. Any help or suggestions, would be great.
I know this weekend is for fun and I'm hoping this job isn't too time consuming. No better place to ask for advice than at an Airstream Rally.
I would love to have instant hot water.
Your kindness and helpfulness is appreciated.
Thanks
Karen

Karen, I'm guessing you will have more people than you can fit in your trailer willing to help, and you'll have a degree in wiring by the time it's finished I did most of the wiring in my trailer and it hasn't burned down yet, so if nothing else, I'll be glad to take a look.

Music, music, music

Hi All,
Any of you with a musical bent, especially Stephanie and Jim, be sure to bring your instruments so's we can have a really big jam. Maybe we can make the 'coons do a jig for us.
Lessee, instruments could include: mouthharp, washtub bass, banjo's, washboards, spoons, pipe organs, or almost anything that makes or could make a 'musical' tone.
Uh oh, that's really wide open to intrepretation.
See you soon.

Loren

Thanks for the info Tanya. It sounds like my kind of place. We will have the kayaks with us so we plan to have some fun paddling.

We probably won't see you, Don. We'll be coming in from I-5 via Corvallis and over US-20. We will probably be there sometime Friday, but maybe Thursday late. We are 50 feet of gold and silver! No radio though...just honk!

VHF UHF repeaters

For those with amateur radio capabilities, there is a nice picture/map
here Oregon Coast Repeater Group - Repeater Maps & Lists which shows repeaters which should be available in the BB area. Specifically the Mt Hebo and Lincoln City repeaters.
I'll monitor Mt Hebo at 147.220 .
