So that's what happened to my old '62 VW Campmobile. I see the pop top made for a great garden!

Oh dear Darol! Well, I wore jeans in 1963 as well as now... will that count? I don't think I could possibly fit into anything I wore then!

Maybe good for you ... but in 1977 disco was in full blossom and platform shoes were the hot fashion item. I do have a mirrored ball we could hang up.... Darol would that do?? I might get hurt (or dizzy - er) in platform shoes.

Boy, I don't know... folks already think we are geriatric space cadets! Remember the saying, "If you remember the 60's you weren't really there!

See you soon, we are getting ready to pull out of the driveway in a hour or two!

play dress up?

well i'd have to buy newer clothes.

everything i wear predates the trailer...

but how 'bout this...

lets all dress up darol

we can each take turns...

or maybe come up with 5-6 outfits,

one from each style era....

i think he'd look smashing in a zoot suit or

go go boots and 3 piece polyester!

or blue suede shoes or raccoon coat and hat!

well the possiblitites are just limitless...

cheers

Making a list

Well I just took a look at the attendance lists. It looks like we could have as many as 69 trailers at the Bash. When comparing the attendees list on post #3 and the "will you attend" list on the calender, it looks like there are nine on the calender list that are not on the 60 of the attendees list on post #3.
Whew! that was hard to say.
Just checked the weather forecast for the Bash. It looks like Thurs - Sat will be dry and partly cloudy, highs of 61 for most days. Sunday looks like showers later in the day, so we should be able to get through breakfast without rain this year.
Lows will be the the mid to low 40's at night so make sure you have your warm clothes available.
See you all at the Bash.

safety notes:

Polyester melts near campfires (yes.... we have fires at this rally)
Tasteless clothes will NOT make any diffrerence to the local critters (they will still steal your stuff)
If you decide to make a raccon coat onsite, please procure the base materials in the G loop but watch the teeth....

Anyone NOT in period costume should be required to sing a song, tell a story, or give a poem at the Satruday night fire. Of course, since owners of trailers newer than about '90 could wear anything and be correct, they should be required to provide the most entertainment!! Think of it as a chance to BE SOMEBODY in front of a group that appreciates un-pretentious fun.

Jessie Honeyman State Park

After the rally we will be staying at Jessie M. Honeyman Campground near Florence while we visit a friend. Has anyone stayed there before? Is it nice? I understand it will be Discovery Season starting October so there will be ATV's around the dunes but that doesn't bother me too much.
