Well close - it's reserved for thursday, Fri, Sat.... Most likely the site could be reserved from the park for sunday night.

Janet,

So what nights are you on the hook for?? Who originally had this site? I thought you reserved all 25 sites for Friday/Saturday nites. You shouldn't be responsible for Thursday nite. Whatever happens........we'll all cover for any sites not used but paid for.......that's only fair. But I wouldn't cancel yet....as there may be someone out there that still may come!

I am on the hook for 3 nights for this site. I reserved the extra day as a favor to the person who had it orginaly. If We don't fillit, I'll send them a bill. But I suspect someone will want it. I am not going to cancel the site under any circumstance.

Heck, if nothing else, we'll store cases of merlot in it

I wrote to Frances. I don't know if she swings by here often enough to see it was BB time again. Heck, she might already be on the list - it's so long, ANYONE could be on there!

I'm sure someone will snap up the site by next weekend (is it coming up that soon already?? I've better get packing!). My grandpa is hauling his '69 Overlander up from Sedona, AZ next week. I asked him if he wanted me to try to find him a site...but alas, his free spiritedness would not allow him to commit to such an offer.

Getting Ready!

Well folks it will soon be Beverly Beach Time! Start Packing!

Day before yesterday Don started to wash and then wax the Bambi ~ you know we need to preserve that beautiful original patina! Then yesterday it rained! Who ordered rain??? Thought I would share a photo of this monumental event! [you might have to look in the tree for Don...]

See you all soon!

Seattle area caravan?

I've poked around the web in an attempt to find a suitable spot to meet along the route on Friday. There is a WA DOT Park & Ride just south of where I5 and I405 intersect in Des Moines. Here are the details:

http://local.live.com/?v=2&rtp=pos.rwsv744t7hpc_27015%2026th%20Ave%20S%2 C%20Des%20Moines%2C%20WA%2098032%2C%20United%20Sta tes~pos.rfmyc94nvq1z_198%20NE%20123rd%20St%2C%20Ne wport%2C%20OR&encType=1

Route summary

Start: 27015 26th Ave S, Des Moines, WA 98032, United States End: 198 NE 123rd St, Newport, OR
  • Total distance: 260.8 mi
  • Estimated time: 4 Hours, 36 Minutes

What time were you thinking of departing the Park n Ride for BB?

We are pulling our teenager out of school a bit early so we are praying he has no tests this day!

Hello BB'ers!

We are going to head over towards the coast to the Oregon/California border and be there sometime around Monday. Then take our time and travel up the coast to BB and arrive on Thursday. If anyone wants to join with us along our way, let us know and maybe we can hook up! We will have our laptop and probably will find wifi occasionally so post here and we will see if we get your message.

Looks like we're rolling from the park-n-ride at noon. Ali has a 20 mile training run at day break, then we're on the road. With that schedule, our ETA @ BB is just before 5PM.

If he's anything like me when I was in school he's probably praying he does have a test and misses it . It will make the weekend that much sweeter.

Have fun you guys, I sure do wish we were able to be there.

Safari57 -- Have you met my son already? Sorry you can't join us!

Ostream - departing at noon I think will work well for our schedule -- even a caravan of two will be a blast!! I'll confirm this by end of weekend.
