Thanks 2air'

Donna will confirm tomorrow that her taking time off at this time is not an issue and then we'll make the decision and I'll go into "work the doctors" mode next week.

I guess I'm used to our taking our bi-annual OR trip in October in the past - for some reason I had September on the brain. I am really wanting to make it to this. We'd been thinking of maybe just hitting the WA coast the second week of September but this is just too tempting if we can pull it off.

We are fine being back a bit or even a bunch- we're both shy kinda people, and I tire easily so still need multiple snoozes a day.

Thanks,
Barry

Barry, I think that would be great if you made it! I'd love to finally meet you in person. If all goes well, and it looks good so far, Alki will be joining us at the rally, and I'm sure you'll enjoy getting to say hi to her as well

You want to someone to bet a donut? Do they go with merlot?

I say we have 58 trailers when it's all over..... I will wager one bottle of wa state merlot (this is a BIG sacrifice for me), but no donuts - the racoons might steal it.

Actually last year as I recall they tried to lift a big tupperware container of homemade cookies - it was too full, so they opened it and ate some, then started off with the rest of the container. Then a professional intervened (think pepperspray and branding irons...).

Nope - no donuts.

I'm so glad Alki is coming through this health problem.

We would really like to meet everyonel. I'm the Forums one in the family, but Donna is involved, just not in detail. As for us making it I need to get doctor appointments and a test moved out and I suspect the test will be the hurdle. We've been on the list since April for it, but frankly I'll do almost anything to delay or avoid these things if I can. I'm not noted as being particularly receptive to the ongoing barrage of tests. I realize I need to get this fixed but I'd just as soon they gave me a couple of pills and sent me camping for the rest of the year to get things fixed. We should know by Monday and then I can make reservations.

Thanks again,
Barry

Or we'll cover your tent with foil while you're asleep.

Still working on the husband to get those axles on the trailer....maybe we will make it. Then there is the question of the 6th month old's ability to ride in a car seat for the long haul down there. I guess if she can do 2 weeks in Germany she can make it to Bev beach. We'll see.

Your on! I will wager one bottle of CA merlot that it's 56. What if it's 57, do we swap?

Red face Now what's your name again?

Hey Janet,

Do ya think we might want to do some sort of name tag thingy ("forums name" plus "first name") to help all the new folk who are coming. At my age, I need some help remembering who's who. Also maybe a "forums name" on a simple placard in front each campsite might help. Maybe someone will volunteer to take this project on that will be coming early..........or maybe each person can make their own if they want to.
Just an idea to help folks who've never been to one of these bashes!
