Beverly Beach Bash III - Oregon Coast

3rd annual @ Beverly Beach State Park...
October 27, 28 and 29 - 2006

We had so much fun last year - we’re gonna do it again! This is a do it yourself rally - There are NO activities or meetings planned.

There’s loads to do in the area including one of the best Aquariums in the country or you can entertain yourselves with fun stuff to do in Newport: Beach combing, shopping, whale watching tours, light house gawking etc....

We will (per usual) have some community meals and big fire.

Friday night: BYOM (bring your own meat) BBQ.
Bring a dish to share. We’ll bring the grills and griddles. Don't forget your drink!

Saturday night: Beef Stew that’ll make you smile!
A vegetarian alternative well be offered as well. Campers are encouraged to contribute breads, salads, drinks and desserts.

Sunday AM: Not too early breakfast.
French toast and bacon. Campers are encouraged to bring juice, coffee, bacon and fruit. We'll bring the french toast fixins.

Pumpkin carving contest Saturday night - bring your carved pumkin to dinner - prize for best kids and best adult lantern!

Beverly Beach State Park is on the ocean with wooded campsites. Parking fee is $17.00 per night. All these sites are electric and water only - but there’s a nifty dump station at the park. Beverly Beach Park has several bath houses, a playground, beach front and streams. Last year we had 27 trailers at this event.

I have reserved sites on the G loop, sites 2-27 and H9, 10 and prepaid them - so if you want one let me know - first come first served! The ones on the inside of the loop are pull-throughs. # 7 has my name on it.

Update Oct 16: All reserved (by me) sites are full but you are welcome to make your own arrangements and join us. If you are making your own reservations please let me know so we can get an accurate head count for meals.

Here is a link to the park website. You can view a site map here.

Fair warning: It can be cold this time of year at this park - rainy as well. This is a rain or shine event. If the weather turns foul - we’ll tarp the G-loop!

Bring your instruments - we've got jammers!
Bring your camera - great views.
Bring your windbreaker - good beach-combing.

Count us in! After all we're only 50 miles away! It's really a nice SP and Gary and Janet's food has always been "over the top"........a 5 Star spread!
Do we each call for reservations?? I would be happy and volunteer to be the collection and payment agent for this event if you've already reserved the 20 spots!

We'll take the G10 site!

The reservations are in my name. The OR state parks don't make this an easy process. I am the "wagon master" (their name - not mine). That means, I reserve all the sites and pay for them in advance. No refunds. I assign the sites to attendees and bear the financial risk.

If you want a site for more days that I have reserved, there are 2 choices;

1). you can call and reserve extra days but they will probably not assign you the same site. They usually block reserved sites for an extra day prior to arrival date. Their system will show your site as being unavailable. Last year many attendees came early and paid at the booth for extra days. They were able to pull into their assigned (by me ) sites early and the sites had reserved signs on them with our dates.

2). I can call and change the reservation for your site but there is a $6.00 fee to change a reservation so.... I'll pass that cost on to you.

Currently, all sites (except mine) are reserved for Friday and Saturday night only.

Janet,

We will be happy no matter where you place us! But, we'd like to be near everyone! G13 or G12 looks good to us. But as I remember all of the sites were nice, other than there was one "swampy" area when it rained....

Will contact soon and send you $, we are off for a couple of days! This year, we should be able to bring our airstream! Yippie! (We are waiting for our new axle!)
