I am starting this thread to see if there is any interest in an Arizona Forums Rally this Fall / Winter. An informal weekend with other forum members, checking out their rigs, sounds pretty good to me. We have members all over the Phoenix metro area as well as other parts of the state. Members from other states would also be welcome. Group sites at a county or state parks might be a location. Checkout the links to several possible parks.

Respond to this post and let me know what you think. If you like the idea, state when and where you would like to do this. The location is not limited to the placed listed. If we have enough interest, I will run with it!

For us it will depend on the exact dates and the location you choose. Dead Horse Park interests us. Our calendar is full from 17-27 Nov and realistically a week before and a week after. I was reluctant to be included in your preliminary head count, because our participation is tentative at this point.

I just saw this today. Depending on dates we'd be in. We are gone last weekend of Sept to Monument Valley. Are you thinking End of Oct beginning of Nov. most of those places will be too hot before then. Let me know I'd be happy to help you organize.

Count me in as well. Maybe sometime after the first of the year or is that too far away? I was thinking may be that folks' calendars would be less rigid after the first of the year. I would also be glad to assist with organization and set-up.

Somehow I missed the first posting of this. Not like me.

Yes, interested! Like one of the above posters, depends on the dates.

Do all those parks have full hook-ups? We don't do without ever in parks

Mostly gray tank gets full every day.

Pick a location, set a date, get the word out...that's all it takes!

Dead Horse is sounding like a good spot. I will work on something for the beginning of next year. That will give everyone some time to prepare. I stayed there this year in Feburary and the weather was nice. It got down into the mid 30's at night, but quickly warmed up into the 60's in the daytime. That sounds alot better then the 115

we are looking at in Phoenix today.
I will check with the park as far as available dates. BTW, the park manager has a early 60's bambi that looks great! The bad news (for some)is the sites in the group site are all dry. Water is avaiilable as well as a dump station at the park. There are nice rest rooms with showers. The non - group campground does have full hookups, but you can not make reservations for these sites. If I can get a weekend in Feb / March I will book it and start a thread at that time.

If you have a 1980 or older Airstream, you can sign up for the Arizona Roundup at http://www.azroundup.net/index.htm . It is a fun event and it is held at the site that I am talking about. Just fill out the form and send some bucks ($15 per night) to the guys running it. No club to join, no good flag bad flag, no magic numbers and funny hats are optional! The event is from 9/28 - 10/1. The last one of these I went to allowed all Airstream trailers. I will email the guys running this thing and find out what changed.
