Umm... yes.

Food:

Here's what I propose:

Friday night: Dogs, brats and sides. Lets keep it simple as many will be driving that day.
We will bring all the buns and 18 kosher dogs.

Good additions: a reasonable number of brats, Veggie dogs (we have at least 4 vegetarians signed up so far), condiments, side dishes, chips, salad and deserts. You are responsible for your own drinks. Please sign up via PM and I'll edit this post with additions as we go along.

JDL - Potato salad
Janet - All buns and 18 kosher dogs
Blue Pearl - Sauerkraut and a desert
audiobox - green salad w/feta and tomatoes, veggie dogs
bbwwjd - brats, vegie tray
NorCalBambi - crunchy, salty bits and cookies
L&C Woogie - Greek Salad and melons
64lawncondo - condiments
2ai - still thinking
bbwwjd - strawberry shortcake

Saturday night: BYOM BBQ & potluck
Bring your own meat to BBQ and a side, salad or desert to share. You are responsible for your own drinks.

JDL - 2 pies
Blue Pearl - salad
audiobox - potato or rice salad
bbwwjd - fruit tray, Beth's world famous carrot cake
NorCalBambi - Veggie dish
L & C Woogie - Scalloped potatoes, quinoa veggie salad
Stefrbrts - junk food
Janet - mushrooms and sweet walla wallas, bathed in butter and merlot.

Sunday B-fast: We'll bring eggs, taters and ham for all.
Good additions: Juice, coffee, hot baked cinnamon rolls, fruit.
Please sign up via PM.

Janet - eggs, taters & ham
JDL - OJ
Blue Pearl - fruit
NorCAlBambi - Juice and Fruit
L&C Woogie - fruit
Jordandvm - coffee
Stefrbrts - coffee pot
jordandvm - cinnamon rools
2air - coffee
bbwwjd - rolls

Sunday dinner: Anyone want to organize? A lot of folks will stay Sunday night....
L&C Woogie - will help but need some co-bag holders!

We will bring the big stove, cooking gear and the box of paper goods - but we want to be on holiday and would like some help. Assistance with scullery work and a brave person to take on Sunday night would be lovely. If no one wants to commit to Sunday dinner, I guess it's everyone for themselves. Our cooking gear is available to use.

Please keep in mind that facilities are limited and so we need to keep clean up really simple. I will edit this post with food additions as we go along - please check back.

I think you mentioned an old airstrip, and big grassy field... Do the owners (or other campers) have any problems with motorized toys?

We're thinking about coming, and would like to bring along the kids' go-kart. It sounds like a good spot for it, but don't want to violate any of the owners rules or irritate our fellow campers.

I can't speak for campers or owners, but this place has quiet and peaceful writen all over it. There are pastures just a few feet from the "air strip" and camping area. The owners pet horses and a few cows are in the pastures... My personal take on scooters, motorbikes, etc is that they probably don't fit into this location and might spook the critters.

There is great kayaking nearby and white water adventures just down the road at the white salmon river....

To add to Janet's list. There is a large stream/small river that runs along one side of the camping area, fishing (Theo caught one last year), kayaking, swimming if you're into glacial flow temperatures, some really great picture taking opportunities, hiking, bicycle riding to your hearts content and just plain sitting and taking in the whole scene. Plenty to do

I'm doing a peach cobbler in the dutch oven on one night for sure, and a potato/cheese side dish on another night. We'll see which nights work out best depending on who else is making stuff.

We can go here in the summer

Teaching through mid June and heading up that way at the end of June into July. We'll keep this place in mind for then. Be nice to the park people so they'll let us in then.

Until then, here's a recent picture taken during an Airstream trip to Bridgeport, CA. In the Green Valley (I think) looking up at the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Wow, I'd like to just put a chair under the awning and gaze out at that all day!

Speaking of awnings, Don & Claudia, did you ever get to try the new awning out?

Race....

How about a "rematch" of sorts for the Kustom Blue Tote Races?

Our last race got rained out at Beverly Beach.... I say we do one here. More points if it's full! (Grey water only, PLEASE!). Smooth runways would be good!

I've got the Airstream of Spokane Super Dupur Pooper ready for... uh... action!

But seriously, let's show them off!

Marc

Hi All, we are going to miss this one. We will be on our big trip back to see the SISTER SHIP. We will be in the Northwest in July sometime. Hope we can hook up then.

We are not going to be able to attend. I'm not able to get health coverage for travel out of our province for a while yet it appears. This is really going to cramp our travel plans for the year I think. I get a review in July so hopefully that will then allow us some travel south. I'll have to set the awning up in the back yard that weekend and have a cold Ice Tea instead. DRAT!!!

Have a great time. We won't be able to make it. Other Memorial Day commitments. Sounds like fun.

Maybe

We would like to be there, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last fall, and I started chemo in January so it will depend on how I am feeling. I do have to go to Seattle for chemo on May 24th but then I am free for the weekend so maybe we will be able to be there, (we really enjoyed Lincon Rock last year).
