I think this is a great idea.. We have a lot of vegetarians and kids coming along. This gives a lot of flexibility and variety.

That is awesome...Can anybody tell my why the cat brings all kinds of headless rodents and drops them in my wife's bathroom? It is beginning to affect my sleep.

I’ve been thinking about Walt’s offer to bring chicken broth. We were at a family style Basque restaurant once where they brought out a tureen of broth and side dishes of condiments, such as red beans, sliced green onion. Then everyone doctored his bowl of soup as wished. Is that what you had in mind, Walt?

Broth

Susan, that works for me. And I think Jim Lewis, on first mentioning a broth, had a more common, hearty pot thing in mind (Many contributing). No reason not to have 2 pots of broth, one doctored and one straight. Pick your poison & adjust as you like.

How many servings should I have in mind?

If the broth is a no-go, I've been thinking that my rhubarb will likely be pickable by then. I could make up a stewed, sweetened, & chilled veg/desert for one of the dinners.

Walt

Here's a website for a soup similar to one I like to make for family gatherings, called Posole Blanco, a mexican soup folks can customize to their own taste: Recipe 201847 --- Posole Blanco: . It starts with broth, pork, chicken, hominy and seasonings. Folks ladle out some soup and start adding whatever is offered, like salsa, cilantro, cheese, shredded veggies like jicama or carrots, jalapenos or other chilis, corn chips, etc. Like I said earlier, whatever appropriate thing folks can "drag out" of their pantries or 'fridge atthe end of the campout. Thanks James. I think we might take a shot at the WBCCI CG. It would give us a chance to see what it is like.

Thanks Steph. I have a friend with the GMC motorhome club who participated in a GMC event there last fall and his take was that there sure are a lot of sad looking Airstreams in the storage area, that the place was nicely kept, and he'd go back anytime.

Impulse is plenty, no need for WARP to get from Pheonix to Area 33.

At the recent 'Stub' Stewart rally, five of us discovered we were all knitters and had each brought a project. A suggestion: perhaps those with a hankerin' to stitch (knit, crochet, needlepoint, spin, etc.) could bring along a project and we could arrange a place for a sit, stitch and bitch session. Whadda 'ya think?

We'll be coming in on Saturday, save us a spot. The weather was beautiful last year. Did Janet and Gary put in for sunshine and warm weather?
