uh.... have you met my cellist?

She came to the very first troutlake (when it was at the county campground) wearing a shirt that said "fueled by bacon', brought a box of molson and showered in the mens (no line).

hi a33 alum past and future.

in keeping with the outstanding assortment of seminars provided last year,

i've secured speakers and supplies for this years required list of events...

i'm sure u all will enjoy these:

-a guided tour with slide show history of the west side toll booth on the hood canal bridge...

-cooking with dental floss, 3 hours of fun and food binding.

-estate planning and will writing, 87 easy steps to the peaceful after life.

-all the guys will GET one free back and chest waxing session, this year garlic n cheese scented wax, oh boy!

- the gals will learn how to quickly crochet place mats from body hair, sizes will vary based on available materials !

no need to fight over the sign up sheet folks,

EVERYONE is included and all sessions are expected to be only 3-4 hours long.

the price as always is included in the rally fees, but the speakers appreciate tips too!

it's gonna be an AWESOME time at a-33...

cheers

How about a snare drum

Can I bring my snare drum, tambourine and cat? The cat is a little loud though. He actually stuck his head in the bass drum hole to look. My foot was on the pedal. What else could I do?

Sure - so long as they don't need electricity, water and are self contained I guess it's all good. Just leave the hurdy gurdy and patchoulie inscense at home please.

2air,

Don and I will start saving our used dental floss... and in an effort to be eco friendly and "recycle" we will store said floss in previously used ziploc baggies from a variety of things once stored in the 'fridge...

I would also like a special session on the 87 steps to the peaceful afterlife for Don so he can learn how to turn off my pacemaker so I might actually get there and not just "thump" along...

Don wanted to know if he could substitute facial hair for the chest waxing... somehow all of his chest hair has already been either shaved or pulled out from previous EKG sticky tape things...

My crocheting skills are minimal... but how about allowing some of us who are experiencing the "other 60s" to macrame and tie-die our placemats?

Don also said we would bring taped re-runs of the Dog Whisperer for Max so he could invite his friends over to the "long, long trailer" while everyone else is in session...

Sign up sheets... Janet says I make "pretty" excel spreadsheets... I will gladly take care of the signups....

Oh, BTW, Don just discovered his doctor made an error and overprescribed two vials of happy pills.... hummmm...

We will bring our lab coats! Sounds like a great lineup of sessions! Can't wait! Maybe we should try to fit one in on how to barbeque the big rats that live and frequent the area...

John,

Goodie... it will be great to have you there! Several folks with longer trailers... it will be interesting parking!

Firewood... I believe is supplied by the campground. At least it was last year.

Question on travel route from California...

This is for anyone with knowledge or a good guidebook!

Last year on our way to Area 33 we took 2 days traveling from Yreka. We started off on Highway 97 and drove north through Bend, Oregon and on to Maupin via 197 and then to Dallesport before heading back west to Trout Lake. We spent the night at The Cove Palisades State Park near Madras, Oregon. It was a great little spot and we hadn't been there before.

Thought I would ask if anyone had any ideas of a different route or camping spot along the way this year other than Interstate 5. We do prefer to stay off the interstate if we can. We thought this year we might stop twice on our way up... so, any and all suggestions of interesting places to camp are welcomed. We're fine either boondocking or having full hookups...

Thanks in advance!

Janet, May have to camo another tent. I went to the Stub Stewart rally this weekend and sold the Tradewind! Time is a little short between now and then to get another one ready. I suppose I could just move into the trunk of the Pontiac - maybe add a tin foil slide-out. Darol

Congrats on the sale though... The tent dwellers had a great time last year. A few more would be just dandy.

Good for you Darol. Now, be sure and come to Area 33 no matter what!
