Barry, I'm planning to drive my Pontiac. I've been there twice and managed to avoid all the pitfalls 2AIR seems to have found. You have to remember he's from Kansas where FLAT is the norm. Hope you can make it - it's a fun time! Darol

Darol,

Great to know you are going to be there again! Are you going to stay and camp or visit for the day? Just nosey! No matter, it will be good to see you.

Barry, can't wait to see you! Bring the Pontiac... The gravel is flat and firm... we went biking on it with road bikes.

The animal control will take care of the carcasses! Just look out for the UFO's at night.

We promise to arrive prior to 11:00 pm this time! Although, I do miss the landing party's lights!

We missed South Beach and are so looking to be in the true Great NorthWest.
We have once again this year began to see strange flying things in our backyard this year. Has anyone else had early indications? I have just aquired a goverment tape that was just released by mistake. It seems to be some kind of report on the airstrip at Trout Lake. Joe, has Max been barking at any unforseen things?

Thanks for the heads up on the potential for losing the wagon in a very large gopher hole. I'll put a flag on the CB antenna so I'll be able to find it. Better bring a shovel though. This sounds much like many of the rod run/camping events we attend for location so I will make a very strong recommendation to the chauffeur (Donna hates when I call there that but she fills the bill on that part) that we use it. It's actually her preferred TV as well.

We are really looking forward to this. I guess we are coming regardless of what I hear from the vet on Tuesday as I heard Donna on the phone last night telling a friend that we are going and can't make another function that weekend. Yip skips.

So, we shall see you there. Bring tin foil? I'm a rookie so I must have missed something. Anything else we need to know to bring? Anything we need to leave at home - wouldn't want to have something there that attracts aliens, or would we?

Darol, I am really looking forward to seeing your Pontiac. From the few pictures I've seen of it I am very jealous.

This is going to be a most excellent time. Meet a swack of the folks I get to chat with finally. For Donna this will be all new as she doesn't (thankfully) read my posts.

hey barry,

check out the string of fake posts for the event that did NOT happen last year...

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f288...-wa-30559.html

post 102 contains head spinning video, while 103 and 107 show gary and janet arriving.

gary's the one with green skin.

there is also a 3-d wax reproduction of norcal/caddygrn WITHOUT medication.

of course those shots and all the others were staged in an underground testing facility, some where in appalachia...

under a drive through dental clinic.

OK, now I remember the photos and comments from last year. Thanks 2air' for the link.

I take it there's a fair amount of pre-prep for this event. Gravol pills for air sickness, altitude sickness pills for the flights and that sort of thing.

I notice most everyone has parkas on so I take it those ships get pretty cold? Are they open air?

I think I might not give Donna any foreknowledge of this stuff . Having not been to a Forums rally before she's already not sure what to expect. No sense telling her in advance and ruining the surprise.

This is beginning to look like it will be a great event again! Here is my question... is there a "limit" on the number of spaces? I know it isn't likely capable to deal with as many as Beverly Beach! So.... you might double check if you need to sign up on the rally page??? There are 11 folks signed up there and it appears that 15 have posted here on the thread.

As one of the "official" green visor folks... I like to keep tabs on who I will need to "pinch" for $$. once we get there! [And possibly who I can extort money from, or blackmail... or whatever works to pay for my new little electronic "buddy"! Ha!]

Disruption.... hummm..

Loren,

Hummm... guess I shoulda thought of that! It does have good shielding however. I better have Don come up with some kind of anti-disruption device and mount it on the Bambi!

But, think of this: I am now part Borg... and resistance is futile....

I don't really know. As you already know the folks who own the place have a somewhat relaxed reservation system. We had about 20 last year and I think that's about right. There is more room down the road a bit, but it would be somehwat removed from the central rally area. I can't get the owners to comit the entire place to us w/o promising 2airs trailer as payment so.... we should plan on the same size (about) as last year. If we have a lot of BIG trailers coming .... all bets are off.

priorities

Steph,
I love your sense of priorities. You certainly know what is most important...or....maybe the cosmic energy is building and causing a selected few to be drawn like a moth to a flame.
