if none of those are suitable,

select from this palate (column and row)....

we really need to decide and give them a little direction,

otherwise, they get self absorbed and start thinking it's all about them...

Parking... We will be arriving on Thursday (hopefully...) and will choose our spot from this great map! Thanks for posting 2Air, I am sure it will be very helpful!

We will take one of the "green" spots... Ha!

Narrow Columbia River Bridges

Hi CaddyGrn,

While just thinking about your route, I remembered crossing the bridge at Hood River last summer. Unless you're good at handling narrow lanes with oncomming traffic, you might want to think about taking I84 a bit East to The Dalles (The bridge lanes are wider).

Some bridge data and picture links I just found:
The Glen Jackson Bridge
From (NE) Portland OR to (SE) Vancouver WA:
The Glen Jackson Bridge

The Bridge of the Gods
From Cascade Locks OR to the vicinity west of Stevenson WA:
The Bridge of the Gods

The Hood River Bridge
From Hood River OR to the vicinity of Bingen WA:
The Hood River Bridge

The Dalles Bridge
US 197 from The Dalles OR to Dallesport WA:
The Dalles Bridge

My Best to You,
Walt

I would second that.

The hood river bridge is very very narrow. I would avoid it when towing..

I will be using bridge of the Gods.

Thanks for the Bridge information! Last year we crossed at The Dalles and it was easy... then we took the "old" road on the North side of the river up to where we turned to go up to Trout Lake. Nice road!

Our little Bambi isn't too wide... neither is our little truck... but I will alert Don to the bridge at The Hood River...

Good to know! Hope the weather will be better than the forecast! But we are "hearty" folks! See you all soon!

We are not going to be able to make this trip. A test ride this weekend to Monroe, WA (1:45 each way with a 2 hour walk-about in between) was less than successful.

We will do something close to home and wish we were there among friends. Hopefully we will be back up to snuff by later this summer or this time next year.

I guess we will have to store all this tinfoil Donna has gathered for next year.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Barry. We'll miss finally getting to meet you both. Dave and I are doing to try and make it to the TCT meet at Deming this year (I assume they're doing it again). Maybe by then you'll be able to get out. At least it will be a lot closer to home for you.
