Yikes! Doesn't sound like anyone I'd want to tangle with!

Kathleen, do you know how late we can check in? If we have to wait to leave until after work on Friday, we could be rolling in there pretty late. (I couldn't tell from the park's site if they are going by the Winter or Summer schedule now).

Thanks!

My guess is that they are on summer schedule. You should be able to check in in the evening. I don't think they lock the gates.

Yikes, one of the keys to having a great forum rally has always been understanding camp rangers! I hope you guys don't run afoul of this guy! Good thing CampCollector is coming

Actually I don't think their will be any problems with the ranger, he is just really touchy about the reserve sites thing. He seemed glad we were coming, just wouldn't accomodate reserving sites.

Can the first person there - reserve AND pay for more than one site? We will be coming in on Friday - probably about lunch time....

Seems to me that anyone should be able to show up and register several sites so long as there's money in the envelope and a license plate number on the form....

Dont' sweat the details

Hey don't worry about saving sites, its off season and if you get there Thursday night or Friday morning there thould be space available. This isn't the coast its cental washington.

And if the Rangers a "power ranger" there are things we can do to make him earn his pay. The day goes by quick when ya spend it unplugging toilets . Just kidding

And just as in Oregon Parks, the campsite must be payed and occupied the first night.

No, you cannot pay for a site unless you are occupying the site. The only thing he would let you do is park your car there early and pay the extra vehicle in site fee, if the car was registered to the person camping in that site.

But again, I think everything will be fine. Everyone will get a space, we just may not be right next to each other. And after Jonathon eats a little kraut in Leavenworth, people will be glad they are not next to him.

After looking at the sites I think we are going to try to get somewhat close to the play area. Cortnie loves the play areas when we go camping.

Trouble downloading campsite map

Has anyone else experienced problems downloading the campsite map from the Washington Parks website. I can't get it completely downloaded!
It gets about 2/3's done, then seems to lock up. Maybe someone could post the map on this thread.

Jonathan may be in danger of being arrested for polluting the desert air!

We hope to be there about 1 pm Thursday!

I was thinking the most eastern loop for the rally sites, but I don't think it really matters.

Hee Hee....

Just wait until that ranger pulls the power on the heated ADA shower Janet!

I can't wait! If I don't get called into work tonight, I just may get my trailer from storage tomorrow and start getting packed now for a quickish Friday getaway.

Kathleen - How many hours from Seattle to Wenachee?

It is 2 1/2 to 3 hours from UW depending on traffic. It will be much shorter from your in-laws...aren't they in Monroe or Everett?

We are planning on being down their Friday morning. Jim will drop the trailer, dog and I off at the park. But we'd be up for evening cocktails on Thursday.
