Sad news for me.....lost the master cylinder on my Toyota last night and can't get a replacement for it until the middle of next week. I was really looking forward to getting to know you all this weekend......boo hoo....I'm a likeable sort and from what I read, we'd get along just fine! One of these days.....

Pam

Pam...

pardon my ignorance of the make up of the eastern side of WA, but... how far is Gold Bar from the campground? If it's close, maybe I could come and run you and your trailer out to it?

Even if you can't camp, maybe you could come in a car and join us for the day? I'm sorry your truck took a hit, we'd love to meet you!
Marc

Talking Heading out in the AM

We (the family, meow) will be leaving Thursday morning, should roll in Thursday evening. Hope to see you there Janet, Gary as well as all others for cocktail hour's. It should take us about 8 hours or so unless I jump to light speed and kick in the turbo.

See ya tonight!

There is another RV group parked in the campground right now. They are a mixture of SOB's and aren't as cool as us. We will have to compete with them for who is having the most fun.

We're Here!

We arrived Wednesday night about 9pm. There's only 7 spaces with hookups left in the park, and only 3 without hookups......and it's not going to get any better the closer we get to the weekend. I checked out Lincoln SP, and lots of spaces (17) in a quick count. Do you think we ought to move to Lincoln SP?? I'm worried !

I'm in the Wenatchee library typing this

Kathleen, could you pm me your phone #?

Also.....where can we get wireless (wifi) in Wenatchee??

Starbucks has wireless, not sure where else. Seems like the coffee shops and maybe Hastings book store has it.

Lincoln Rock would be fine too. When I stopped by at 4:30 yesterday and saw that there were only 11 sites with hook ups left I was worried as well.

Lets make the decision soon so a janet & husband know where to camp. Also Campcollector is on his way and you'll need to leave a message for him to continue up river.

I talked to the Ranger at 6 a.m. this morning while he was collecting money at the pay station. He said that there are a lot of Canadian snowbirds who stop here on their way back to Canada. He didn't mention anything about a an RV group that is staying there.....but I didn't ask either. Also, he said that a lot of locals like to use this park. He suggested LRSP......so I took a drive up there and really liked what I saw.......also quieter.....no commercial business there. If you think we can alert everyone to go to LRSP before or when they get here, I'd be in favor of moving!

As the official Rally coordinator I officially change the rally to Lincoln Rock. Does anyone have Campcollector's cell phone number? Jim will try to leave some conspicious note for him at the campground. Also for those people wondering about how to get there check the link http://www.parks.wa.gov/parkpage.asp...Lincoln%20Rock

Marc.....Thank you....that was so sweet. The problem is, I was going to camp in my Toyota as my Airstream still isn't road-ready. I'm too old anymore to sleep on the ground unaided by a thick piece of foam. Heck, I'd even consider hitchhiking, but I think I'd freak anyone out when they saw me on the side of the road with a 4" thick piece of dense foam rolled up on my back, and my hairy white mutt at my feet. FYI - Gold Bar is about 38 miles to the west of Stevens Pass Summit.

You guys have a great time!!

Gotit!

Hi guys! I'm going to go get my trailer tonight and start packing it up. Mona's off at 1:00 tomorrow - so I hope to p/u the girls and get out of Dodge (with our Dodge!) fast. When we were at Burlington a week ago, there were a lot of Canadians (filled up the park!) who left on Saturday morning. Hope Lincoln doesn't fill up too!

Pam - I'm sorry you're truckless. Hope to see you in the future! Lincoln Sta park looks nice - I'm bringing my Blue tank and generator just in case!
See you!
Marc
