From the beginning

I have kept up with this rally (wishing I was there) since I met some of you at the Can Opener. Keep posting all the excitement that is going on there so all of us out here in space can just keep wishing we were there.

Heading out tonight if at all possible. Boondock in Chattanooga or close, then on into Springstream Friday morning.

Looking forward to our first AIR rally.

. . . .
Yes, Sugarfoot is a she, both me, my Mom, and the K9 behind my "Sugarfoot" handle. Don't give LI Pets too hard a time. Afterall, they had to brave high winds and the worst Nor-Easter in 20 years to get here.

It was wonderful meeting Steelbird312 at the Top of Georgia. We had a great conversation and I got to see the park. Lovely place it is, all done by volunteer work.

Can't wait for the rest of y'all to get here. The weather is great, will be perfect this weekend. Spent a lovely morning talking with Bob and Kathy (LI Pets). WiFi hot spots are at the pavillion and the 2nd bath house (why there for Pete's sake!! ). I have a glitch, I can connect but my IE browser won't open. I'm at the Public Library right now trying to download Foxfire and will try WiFi again later.

Well, Glen, it looks like its happened just after 2PM today. There are at least 4 of us here rallying, so we can still say it happened during the rally as you predicted. So we still have an excuse to celebrate. . . . yeah, like this bunch really needs one!

Foxfire download didn't solve my WiFi surfing problems. Any of you computer whiz types are welcome to chime in and tell me why I can connect to the WiFi but can't browse with either IE or Firefox, even with firewalls disabled.

I'm just off the freeway in Chattanooga if you want to boondock here. I'm leaving in the am for Hiawassee. Call me on cell 423-304-2741, if you choose.

Surgarfoot, TJ is coming in tonight. I'll be there in the am. Watch for us! I'm soloing to come early. Ruth is coming in tomorrow afternoon with her daughter and granddaughter. It's initation time for Tinley! WooHoo! Tinley even packed her bag for the weekend! Rick (Russell's brother-in-law) and his daughter are coming in tomorrow night. With the 20,000 member and Tinley's 1st camping trip, we'll have plenty of reason to celebrate! Tee Hee!

Do you feel like Robin Williams in "RV"? Maybe you should try sitting on the toilet like he did!!!! Or was it on top of the rocks, or was it on top of the bath house, or was it on top of the RV? Keep trying, you'll find your signal somewhere.

Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow! Does anyone that is on-site by chance have about an 8' or 10' ladder with them? I know - low probability, but figured I'd check.

LI Pets, thanks for the signal report. I was thinking of coming in tonight and working the phone from camp tomorrow but I didn't complete my tasks here in Anderson so I'm on the road through Clemson, Seneca, and into camp tomorrow.
As long as I know there's a good signal I can roam on I'm good to go.
See you all tomorrow.

Oh, yes... I'm waiting for the announcement from Shari as to who the winning guesser was..... strange that it's been so silent. All this build up and then fizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
