I know you are joking with these movies, but seriously, I watched Pulp Fiction and kept thinking, Huh! What is all the brouhaha about? Personally, I think Pulp Fiction was about the worst movie I ever sat all the way through. I think if it were not for John Travolta and Lawrence Fishburn being in it, I wouldn't have watched all of it. I mean, how was Bruce Willis' character even related to the story line other than an opportunity for him to do a nude scene? And personally, he should have kept the towel on. And the scene in the pawn shop...could have left that one on the cutting room floor as far as I'm concerned. Pretty much could say the same thing for most of the scenes that made it to theaters. Of course, the dance scene was OK, and I did learn something interesting from the film...why people get their tongues pierced.

Sorry. My family members are real big movie buffs and I take on the responsibility of self appointed film critic from time to time.

Now back to the thread at hand.

movie?? I was looking forward to "Silence of the Lambs."

As for the spring break, we are on a low budget not too far from home trip-- as we have a 3 week trip coming in June.
Maybe if the weather is good we will go to Vogel? Or ?? some other nice spot in N GA.

i could be persuaded to tug along to that.

ditto the low-budget "caravan holiday" sentiment!

Vogel is one of Ga's oldest State Parks, in the mountains not far from Hiawasse, and Helen. It has a lake and beautiful hiking trails. GA has some terrific parks!!

All right, all right. So, Pulp Fiction is out. That leaves us a choice between Clockwork Orange and Dirty Harry. Kidding, please.

I could take that better than "The Hills Have Eyes" http://www.airforums.com/forum...4-post249.html, or "Motorhome Massacre" http://www.airforums.com/forum...7-post263.html, both of which use Airstream/Argosy products .

How about "Roam Sweet Home" Roam Sweet Home? I have the VHS tape.

What is your favorite old movie?

It's hard to beat some of the older stuff such as Steve McQueen in Bullet. The muscle car chase is top shelf. To Kill a Mocking bird is a movie that everyone should see at least once. What is your favorite old movie?

Fastest screen play ever written

Here’s a scary idea. Let’s (or Let the Kids) make our own (short) movie.

The volunteer cast (mostly kids and a few adults) can roam from one Airstream to another.

Just need an adult or teen with a little bit of home video shooting experience & a decent Digital Camera. Volunteer plastic flamingos & wild hats and clothes.

Title (which does not have to appear on the screen):
Little Miss Sewnso has Lost Her Flamingo
(family name is pronounced So N so)

Opening shot:
Little Mo Sewnso comes out to feed the family’s favorite flamingo but it is missing.
She looks around the Sewnso’s AS (mostly behind and under) and only finds discarded flamingos; not the Sewnso’s favorite bird “TooTall”. We know the name from the dog bowl from which TooTall dines and Little Ms. Sewnso has a photo (large drawing) of TooTall to show anyone who is interested.

Scene 2: Little Mo Sewnso’s friends (neighbor’s kids) see her distress and come over to assist and meddle in the Sewnso’s business. Now we have a small crowd.

One of the friends (wearing something silly) suggests that they go to each Airstream family until they find TooTall. (assumption is that someone from this strange neighborhood has pinched the missing bird and is hiding it until they can leave at the end of the rally).

Scene 3: Off they go, knocking on one Airstream door after another.
Various things happen at each visit. Depending on the Airstream owner they could invite the bunch in to “look around”. Other Flamingos (not TooTall) could be found in various locations (bathroom, closets, taking naps, outside sunbathing, just standing around, etc.)
AS owners could improvise behaviors (welcoming, suspicious, “get out-a-here” gruff, spooky, mysterious, etc.) adding to the flavor of the film.
Obviously, no one knows the whereabouts of TooTall.

Scene 4: The last Airstream or better yet, an ugly SOB that is sitting alone with no one around. No one answers the door. Some clue is found (maybe TooTall’s favorite scarf or collar, even a cigar butt that matches TooTall’s favorite brand)

Scene 5: Access to the trailer is accomplished (security shows up & let's 'em in, the owner shows up & invites everyone in for gingerbread, one of the kids uses a Swiss Army knife to unlock the door & breaks in, etc.)
And what do they find? TooTall has found a soul mate. Sitting inside (maybe in costume) doing what birds do…. chatting about current events or yesterday’s weather.
How will it end… maybe TooTall will go back with Sewnso… maybe not.

CUT!

Participants can make up their own story line and ending. Sillier the better. Everyone likes seeing themselves “ham” it up. Just get something recorded so it can be played sometime Sat. evening on the big screen.
Add to the storyline or discard. This is wide open. If it doesn't happen, that's ok Too.
