We reserved Wed and Thurs in site 13 and Sat and Sun in site 9. Hoping that a Fri site opens up or we'll be hiding out somewhere.....looking forward to the fun.

I have offered to share my site with Terry & Marie, if they are able to come, and if not you are welcome to it.

The sites seem about half a city block long....or, at least, that's what it seems when you're small.

As a first time attendee I was looking at the map and seeing that the poor SOB reserved sites are far outnumbered by Silver Airstreams. I see that a few of the SOB's are coming because their Airstreams are under renovation, etc. How many are pure strangers?

Would I be correct in assuming that we should all be graciousness itself to non-streamers and invite them over with a view to getting them infected with Aluminitus?

I of course wish to fit in well with more veteran attendees so any hints to allow me to do that would be gratefully appreciated.

My experience at 4 Alumalina's has been that we've been pretty welcoming. I'm sure we overwhelm some of those in those huge Voltage/Intimidator 5th wheelers who show up with exterior kitchens, boats, jet skis and electric golf carts. (What is the deal with all these folks who have electric golf carts to get around campgrounds??) Heck, if they brought John a possum, or brought Maggie some stone ground flour for her next DO treat they'd be welcome around our campfire, right??

Some of those black are actually silver, Paula......sleepers, I call them.

Airstreams that have not yet revealed themselves.

I am glad that everyone lets us join in. We did not have our AS at any of the rallies but knew we wanted an airstream. These get togethers are for us to learn about AS trailers and to see the big family that they make. We bought the truck first and if all goes good might have our new home at this function. This is a get together of liked minded people does not matter what you pull of live in just have the right mindset and you are welcome.

We have indeed filled the park, and have a waiting list, which we will put you on. Love to have all the Alumalina alumni that can to join us.

Keep an eye on the thread and the park site, cancellations come up, especially near the date.

BTW.. have you adjusted to having 4' less space in the new trailer??

It's been a few days since I've checked this thread. Sunnygirl and I have been cleaning up and winterizing the Airstream. It was sad to put her away yesterday but it won't be long before we'll be pulling her out again in early January to head for the Canopener rally.

Welcome Cathie & Jay, I've put you on the map. All of you who have joined the wait list be patient and keep checking both Reserve America (the campground reservation site) and this Airforums thread. People change plans as the date nears. In the past people on the wait list this early typically get a spot. Good fortune comes to those who are patient and when you come to Lake Wateree in March you'll experience one of the best Airstream rallies in the USA.

All you have to do is click the link below, scroll to the bottom of the page, click the "Yes"\or button, then type in the box your site number, first names of the people attending, and anything else you want to tell the group. If later you change sites or have to cancel, please go to the RSVP link and record your change of plans by clicking the "No" button and changing the typed content in the box.
