Just got my time off request approved, so Thursday-Monday available to Rally. We'll plan to arrive Thursday by about noon, and leave Monday afternoon.

I'll plan on bringing sound equipment for the gatherings as needed.

Can anyone share any insight/experience with Verizon reception in the park? We have a "mifi" device - need for my work in the camper. I've heard overall cellular reception is weak. But that the park had wifi that they were working on. Would love any input.

Nancy, there is wifi in the park. It gets slow during peak hours. It might be better inside the meeting hall, where the booster thing is. There are tables and it is fully available to us.

Verizon service is not too good but there is a new tower just down the road that may be up and running by rally time.

We may have better info as the date nears.

There were some periodic problems with the park wifi, probably due to over 100 trailers being in the park. As we've all experienced, there are always a few campers who will try to stream video when a campground system is at capacity even when the park specifically asks campers to refrain from downloading video.

Between the park wifi and our Verizon cellular service I don't recall us having a problem receiving and responding to emails at the fall rally. If you need to send and receive big files, or need to do some heavy internet surfing, you might experience a problem.

Note to everyone attending the event -- Please don't stream video!!!

Apple Videos and I hear some of Amazon videos can be downloaded ahead on to your device to watch at a future date. The rental period is good for 30 days, so we download some before we leave on a trip. There is also Red Box Videos that you can rent at various places. This is how we watch a movie, so we don't hog the bandwidth, so all can have a little wifi to check email, etc. But the best video may be Mother Nature and friends around a campfire.
