Maggie and I truly enjoyed the wonderful hospitality. We hiked Pisgah and she wore me plum out. Really enjoyed the folks we camped next too with the Tardis Bob and Page. And the folks on the other side with the Great Danes! What a wonderful time. Brother John, ya pulled off another winner - a far cry from the first couple we did at Carowinds

As your hosts, we wanted everyone to have the total Airstream experience, complete with dry camping.

more later
We also made it home, safe, sound, whipped.
In a day or so I will post a wrap up.
For now, please know we had more fun than anyone, because of everyone.

Thanks to John & crew for a wonderful rally. We had a great time as usual and can't wait to be back in the fall. After ten long hours, we are back home, but it was well worth it.
John says he can give you another night of dry camping in the fall if you would like.
Thanks,
John and Cecilia

Safely home, thank you
After the nice service on Sunday morning I headed out for home, arriving safely in the afternoon. Sorry to the dog owners I did not get around to catching but a few...maybe next year. But, a couple of "man's best friend"...

Thank You John & Susan!
Thanks to all who helped make Alumalina such a wonderful vacation. We were lucky enough to get to spend 5 days at this rally and each one was great. We're looking forward 'til the next time we meet up with such fun friends.

A BIG "Thank You" to everyone for the countless hours involved in coordinating such a wonderful event. And also my sincere thanks to all for putting up with my countless questions on Airstreams. My first Alumalina but certainly not my last.

Hello everyone!
I would like to thank John and Susan for welcoming me with open arms. I would especially thank Jerry for making me feel welcome at my first Airstream Alumalina event, well, my first event ever. Thank you one and all that helped in answering so many questions, and now I have more! Seems I have so many people to thank for being so kind and making me feel so at home. I hope that very soon I can return the kindness. I'll plan to bring a complete Silver Belle to the next event!

This was our first Alumalina, but not our last! We had a great time! Thanks to John & Susan and Terry & Annie and the folks at Palmetto Cove! I know what a job (labor of love) putting something like this together is! We will miss the fall rally, but are already looking forward to next spring!
Thanks again to everyone for their hospitality,
Ed & Kerrie

Wow. Did we ever enjoy Alumalina! John (Sandlapper) was a delightful host, as were all the Palmetto Cove volunteers who worked hard to help us have a great time. As Newbies, we gained a lot of knowledge! Thanks to Mike & Diane for tipping us off about the excellent TPMS Jerry O'Connell has (bought a system, Jerry installed and it worked like a charm on the return trip). Thanks to Firedog for the air shocks info and demo (we have the same truck and AS; dealing with the F250 "dip" when loaded). Great to meet Tom and Deborah again. Great to meet so many new folks. The Dutch Oven cooking session was super, as was the Women on the road session (DW enjoyed, as did I).
First long road trip test was the 720 mi route home to Little Rock; went great. If I am successful in posting this picture, this is the first time Rose has been at our house; cannot keep her here; unload, wash and put in the storage unit. Neighbors have been lining up for tours.

Made it home to northern Michigan and snow. Glad I have those Michelin M/S tires!
Thanks so much to John and Susan and all the volunteers! We made lots of new friends and are so glad we chose Alumalina as our first rally.

How FUN was that!
Many thanks to John for allowing us to bring our brand of aluminum to your rally. This was only our second camping trip and our first rally. We really had a great week. Our guest book has over 100 names of folks that came through our trailer! It was wonderful talking to all of you and thanks for all of the compliments and encouragement. I also wanted to complement everyone's fabulous cooking during our stay at the Cove. The Possum Bog & fixens, Saturday's breakfast and supper pot lucks were soooo good! And an extra thanks to our friends and neighbors 'Streaming Eagle' for encouraging us to join in the fun that is Alumalina! Mark & Janet
