We regretfully need to cancel as we are heading north earlier than planned. Have fun!

Thank you ladies for contributing to the feast. We have many mouths to feed so anything/everything is welcome from anyone/everybody. No one goes away hungry.

Is it possibly to arrive at Palmetto Cove on Wednesday? Just planning our trip trip South from Vermont and looking at options.

The Cove is opening for us on the 24th, as many of us are ending our winter trips.

So...yes, you can arrive early.

Some of the hikes can be vigorous but all of them pay off in the incredible scenery in the end - this is the area where "Last of the Mohicans" was filmed. Also, please add the Vintage Podcast for Thursday eve. around 10:00. Folks should expect to be interviewed by Tim Shepard - he's very laid back, so it will be questions around the type of Airstream where you're from etc. Interviewing with Tim after an evening with Rita is perfectly acceptable and expected.I do expect YOU to be interviewed since all this Possum bog mess was you're idea in the first place...

Mccrosti - We hiked around there in November and would enjoy a return visit! We'll take you up on the invite! We can drive and take three more as well if there're more folks interested.

Understand it is okay given earlier responses; wanted to let you know I plan on arriving Monday, March 28th. DW will join me Thursday (flying in to Atlanta), so I will be in need of someone to order me around for a few days. Seriously, I will be happy to help as you or others may need.

So this is our first rally, and very excited to meet other airstream owners. One question we have is regarding pets, specifically dogs. Normally we would kennel our 4 legged family members, but since it is the weekend prior to "the golf tournament" here in Augusta, there is no room at the kennel. We are working to line up a house / dog sitter, but in case are there any restrictions on bringing dogs ( beyond the normal leash and clean up). Thanks

What type of dogs, and how many? The Cove is very pet friendly, except for the typical "aggressive" breeds. And as you mentioned, leash and cleanup.

Excellent Michael, thanks for the offer. We welcome the extra hands and will keep you busy so you can't stray too far.

Hey Mary and Jeff, and any other folks with pets. As Stream'n Eagle said, the Cove is very pet friendly and only asked for the standard courtesies...the 6' leash, pick up the poop, and not bring them into the buildings or under the pavilion.

The parking spaces are close together but there are acres of beautiful open ground all around, as well as trails in the woods. Pets and people will find it very pleasing.

When you say typically aggressive breeds, does that mean my Dutch Shepherd is not welcome?

As long as they are well behaved I don't think there will be any issues.
