That's why we have tents to be under and Airstreams to sleep in. As long as it's not "40 days and 40 nights" rain, we should be fine.

Now it's official
I had an artist friend of mine develop an "official" logo for Alumalina. It is sooo very cool. With some help I will try to post a picture of it soon. I have also arranged for some very nice T shirts to be printed, at about the cost of a 12 pack. So when you make that beer run, lay back the cost of one 12 pack so you can be one of the first on the block to own one of these fine, fine "official" shirts. Airstream blue of course.

We are really like the way the logo turned out. I left it all to my artist friend, with instructions that it had to of course have a vintage Airstream in it, with perhaps a moon and a Palmetto . Like me, he is a S.C. native also, so naturally it came out closely related to the SC flag. No offense intended towards our NC neighbors or any of our other friends around the States. We love everyone, and want everyone to feel good about being here, no matter where you're from. And one week from today we should all be right in the thick of things!
Can't wait to see everyone.

We made it to Carlisle PA today, going to Blue Ridge Parkway in the AM, will be at the campground on Thursday. Weather is beautiful.

We are at a very nice, new campground in Big Stone Gap ,VA.
Going to stay here til Monday before heading toward NC and Black Mountain, our last stop before Carowinds on Thursday. Doug is ready to stop driving the windy-curvy mountain roads, and Lily is ready to get out of this dog house on wheels.

Black Mountain is gorgeous, cute little town, and there is a beautiful college campus (Montreat) right next door that is worth seeing.

In fact, there is a campground on the Montreat campus! Don't know any details, other than it is too small for us but would be great for your rig!

If y'all are feeling adventurous, the Blue Ridge Parkway is pretty close to Black Mountain. If you don't like that, there is also Old Fort nearby, another cool town to wander around in.
