OK, we're on a roll now.
I have recently acquired a fiddle. Can't play a lick on it but I sure look good carrying it around. And it dresses up the corner in the stream.
Barry, chicken bog is a low country S.C. favorite. Road kill possum (tastes just like chicken), best harvested under the light of a full moon, onions, sausage, rice, peppers, any thing else left over. When no possum available, chicken makes a good substitute( no one will ever know the difference if you spice it up right).
The not a band band is not a bad band. In fact they are just short of great. I have heard them a couple of times. I am a roadie for them. They let me load the trucks.
Food food food. Wow, it all sounds good. Hmmm...stewed possum, fried fish, cheese cake, dough nuts. Only other thing we may need is a cardiologist. He would probably recommend just washing it all down with a special blend chocolate milk.
And trinkets. When was the last time you left a rally with more than you came with?
For those folks out there trying to decide whether or not to join us, just think of all this good stuff you're gonna miss. Come on.

It's a combination of chocolate syrup, coffee liqueur, cream, ice, and vodka.
The first one tastes like chocolate milk.
The second one doesn't taste like much of anything.
You don't remember what the third one tastes like...
We can cut down the booze content upon request.

ROLL CALL....Fill in the blanks

Just trying to get some idea of the numbers. At least 10 reservations have been made so far. This is what we know of :

# 149---Von & Sally
# 153---Air2, Phil & Brittany
# 155---Sandlapper, John & Susan
# 157---the big top, rally central
# 158---MBWallace, Howard & Marti

There are others. If you have a reservation, please add it to the list. If you don't have a reservation, not to worry, just show up, there's plenty of room. We would still like to know if you are coming, so add yourself to the list too.

The phone # straight to the campground is (704) 587.9116.

Safe & happy travels. John & Susan

Roll Call

We did not make reservations because we are not sure when we will arrive (or leave for that matter) But we will number 2, Steve & Di. Di said she will bring potato salad and mac salad, plus a variety of breads. If I get motivated possibly even chili.

Reservations

Went on Carowinds website to see where the reserved sites are. I can't find a map of the campground anywhere.
There are 3 sections to the campground, 1st loop by the lodge where you check in.
2nd loop across parking lot and a gully on the left side closest to amusement park.
3rd across gully on right. The 1st loop is rather tight with a lot of trees, the 2nd is large and level with enough trees to provide shade but not so many as to make it difficult to manuver.
3rd has the fewest trees, level sites BUT gave us problems on our 2 visits last year. On our first trip we discovered drainage is an issue after it rains (our site flooded). On our next trip we had a problem with ants, had to take everything out of TT and fumigate trailer to get rid of them.
Which area has sites set aside for us? I can't remember the site numbers where we stayed last year.

Steve, come early, stay late. We will be there Thursday pm. They don't have a map available on the web , but we have sites 149 - 171 reserved for us in the Maple section. They are all full hook up pull thrus, should work very well. They know where to put you even if you don't have a reservation.

We'll be on site 160. So sayeth the guy on the phone...

For everybody that has stuff coming from ODM, I'll be putting orders in separate boxes, with their receipts in the boxes, and writing names on the boxes. Anybody else that needs anything, just call ODM, and tell them to give the stuff to Terry for delivery at the rally.

Thanks for locating the campground map. We are in the Maple section, sites 149 - 171.

Enter the row between sites 169 & 171 , then pull in either to the right or left to your site. They are all pt sites, all the same size.

Terry, looks like you will be right in the thick of things, near the big top. Easy to distribute the goodies, and the mudslides too.

Originally, Phone Guy wanted to put us on 157. After I pointed out the law of physics that indicates two objects can't occupy the same place at the same time, he moved us...
