Brother Dave, how could you miss your name at the top of the page? It is a good thing we all look after each other.

We will add Colin to the list, and good for you, he will help ruin your bad reputation.

BTW....Thanks to Florida55 we have an hour long video of all the previous Alumalinas to share with everyone this October....you are a featured star in the early episodes.

In the background of the aerial photo are the Blue Ridge Mountains including Mt Mitchell, highest mountain peak east of the Mississippi, a not-to-miss opportunity.

And if you have never traveled the wonderful Blue Ridge Parkway, this is another not-to miss opportunity. Both are less than an hour away.

Come early, stay late, you will like it.

A look at the map shows rows of sites, all the same, in rally style parking. We have virtually the entire park. Nearly 400 sites.

....So a wild hair.....

.....This year we will handle all the parking and check in ourselves. We are thinking let's take the opportunity to park all like rigs together.....

....all the Argosys

....all Classic Mohos

....all Interstates

....all big box Motorhomes

....all vintage

....all everything else

....all together.

Just a thought but it would be super cool to have all like rigs together for a rally within the rally.

What say you??

As a way to make a logistical nightmare out of the rally, it's a great idea!


Personally, I would rather see each of the years grouped together, so the progression of styles, sizes and features/looks could be more easily noted.



Or, all the same sizes placed together, again to make comparisons easier.


But the mix just as they come in and get parked is also very good.

Nope....gotcha on the list, all you need to do now is just show up, we will take care of the rest. Upon arrival we will check you in and get you squared away.

The list we post here is a way to help plan the event and the more accurate it is the easier to plan. So it is also very helpful to know as we go along if anyone's plans change and you will not be able to join us. All that is needed is a simple post to the thread and we will make the adjustment.

Since there are no advance payments there will be no money to return, no reservations to cancel, no problem.

We will have a small rally fee as usual, and we will collect the site fees for the campground as well. The parking fee is $35/ night. Come in as early as you want to, we will still get you squared away.

Florida 55 posted the map of the rally park ...thank you again, Chuck....which shows the parking layout. Note the Catawba River running along the back edge. It is easy flat flowing and there are put in/ take out docks on the property so bring your boats and floats. A nice walking trail also follows along the river bank.

I can certainly help with parking, or some organizing. We're hoping to be there Tuesday I believe.



On another note, I found a 2017 Airstream for sale at Blairsville RV. It is a 25' International Serenity model and the guy said it had been used twice, then the wife got it in the divorce (I do not know if camping was the cause of the divorce).


The guy said $78,500 (list purchase was $95 something).
