Sign us up!

John and everyone who helped,

Had a great time, thank you!

Just submitted my time off request for next year! Looking forward to it!

As a note, Alumalina wasn't over for us when we left. We ended up in the same campground in Kentucky, on the way home, with another couple from Alumalina Sunday night. We happen to live in the same county in Missouri and did not meet each other at, or prior to, Alumalina.

Debbie, the wife of the other couple, said she will remember us as The Dolls (Ken and Barbi). We haven't named our trailer, yet. We have a long list of possible names, but thanks to Debbie, The Doll House was added and placed high on the list!

We love you and thank you all....

….for your kind words. Airstream rallies are about the people, and Alumalina has the best. Over the course of some 7-8 years and 12 rallies we have become family. So Alumalina becomes a family reunion more than anything.

Here is a tip on the secret of life....Surround yourself with nice people. Everything else will fall into place. This is Alumalina.

I simply make a plan, then everyone chips in to make it happen. Tables, chairs, coffee, fish, seminars, crafts, door prizes, hot dogs, Rita, sound, music, raffles, registration, greeters, parkers, rally bag packers, cooks, wine tastings, beer swaps, and clean up at the end. This is a small army of VOLUNTEERS. Thank you all so much.

And glad you liked the new venue, we will be back next year and if you can't wait that long join us for the Region 3 WBAC Rally in April. Susan and I are hosts.

Now, check this out...

225 or so rigs..... Long, short, old, new.
450 happy people. Mostly.
500 plates of fish, shrimp, devil crab......the best ever.
6300 feet (app) of Aluminum. Over a mile.
400 hot dogs. Only 1 left over. (I got that one)
1092 cups of coffee. Thank you Terry, Mr. Coffee.
25 gallons of Margaritas (Rita says thank you for helping)
600 donuts. Nothing left but the hole.

23 States, and Canada, represented....we may have missed some, so let us know....

NC
SC
Virginia
Georgia
Florida
Tennessee
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Vermont
New Hampshire
Michigan
Illinois
Alabama
Mississippi
Texas
Colorado
South Dakota
California
Connecticut
Missouri
Oregon
Montana
Vermont
Ontario

I ALWAYS have more fun than anyone. I have the battle scars to prove it.

When more of the dust settles we will launch a new 2019 thread. The tentative dates are October 24-27, 2019, same place, so mark your calendar.

You will like it.

Luvya all. John and the crew.

T Shorts

Hello
Beth and I couldn’t make the rally this year. Were they selling T Shirts and if so how could buy we one or two?

We will make it next year with our new puppy. 😊

OK John, please mark us down...now that the our new granddaughter is here as of Monday, no more distractions next year. We will be glad to bring plenty of Hi Sign Beer from son's brewery here in Austin and host the "bring a beer/take a beer" social! Really missed not attending this one! Looked like you all had a rousing time again! (Albeit it looked a bit cold again?) Count us in...Patti and Jerry...

Cool Statistics

300 more feet (10-15 rigs?) and you could have said a convoy as long as Mt Mitchell is high!

Thank you so much to John and all you fellow airstreamers for making my first rally a truly memorable event!

I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful community of folks who look out for one another. Thank you all so much for all of your help and advice regarding my new-to-me airstream, aka the "Blue Hotel," (the tarped trailer in the back). I felt so overwhelmed by my leaky trailer until you all shared your stories and knowledge.

I look forward to the next rally and seeing you all again. Safe travels home

Can't believe no one from New Jersey was there. We'll need to change that for next year. We had to take a pass for this year but see ya'll next go-around for sure.

Count US in for 2019

Do vendors count? The Micro-Air folks (EasyStart 364) were there from New Jersey.

I hope to see MoPar John today for lunch. I'll ask. But the list of attendees by state didn't show any from NJ. That's what prompted my inquiry. AND, yes. Vendors do count.

The TV behind us had New Jersey plates...can't remember noticing what the trailer had.
