I had no idea this event was so well attended when I signed up. Impressive! Is this normal or attributed to the new rally site?

Hi all. As a potential future Airstreamer I have been lurking here for the last couple of months. For my first post, I would like to say thank you on behalf of the Cove. I am a board member, as well as the current Treasurer of the park. We are thrilled to see your efforts to bring back some of the glory of the good old days.
We wish you a great rally. You will find numerous things to do in the area. Caesars Head is just up the mountain, with the DuPont Forest just beyond that. There are numerous water falls and hiking trails in the area. Lake Jocassee, and Lake Keowee are not too far away. Table rock State Park and Lake are just down the road. There is a winery up the street. They serve a nice lunch, and you can dine with a glass of wine while overlooking the vineyard. Asheville, Hendersonville, and Brevard are within reasonable driving distance. I'm not sure they will still be open, but there are many apple orchards in the area. These are just a few of the things in the area.
I hope to spend a few days at the park while you are there so I can pick your brains a little in regard to Airstreams. I have spoken with some of the local chapter members, and would like to expand my research.

......... for posting the info on the many things to see and do in the area. If anyone should get tired of looking at all the aluminum  , there are plenty of other options in the area. We hope to add details as the dates get closer. The mountain range that looks down on the Cove should be ablaze in fall color by then. A sight no one will get tired of.

We are at Myrtle Beach for our annual beach week with the family.
Both sons and their familys , plus both my sisters. 5 rigs total.
A balmy 95* with triple heat index. Great breeze, we are parked 30' from the ocean with unobstructed view.
It could be worse......I could be at home right now, working.

Mr. Sandlapper,
Wow the clan is gathering for the Fall Alumalina at Palmetto Cove, We are about to meet up with a SE caravan (11) counting us at Palo Duro Canyon State Park outside of Canyon TX. This group will caravan onto Farmington NM arriving on Wednesday at the International Rally what fun awaits us?
Matt, Beth, Roy and Steve are the cat herders for the caravan. We are excited to be a part of this group for a number of reasons, number one they are Airstream friends.
Back on the subject..... I believe there are about eight or ten of the Alumalina alumni attending the International, maybe we can have a social hour and invite prospective attendees for the fall Alumalina? Did you say the Cove could handle 140 units? I have brought two tee shirts to advertise the rally.
Wow with near seventy attending I will have to recruit more possum trappers, but do we have enough space to fatten the critters up before late October. You know I like fresh not road kill possum for the bog. Ronnie may have to get a bunch of giant cooking pots for this time.
Enough for now we need to saddle up and leave Oklahoma City for Palo Duro Canyon State Park to meet up with the caravan before 3 PM today. Big steak dinner tonight at the Big Texan!
Remember we give a hoot.
