Hey Crabpot, love to have you join us. However, we are limited to 135 rigs and at this point there are no sites available. BUT, that can, and usually does, change as the dates near. We can put you #1 on the waiting list and will let you know if a site comes open. Keep an eye on the thread too. Very good chance you can get in.

Congrats on your new EB. You will love it and any Airstream rally is a blast.

A few updates

PARKING at the COVE:

Due to the large crowd, the parking crew requests that they park folks in somewhat of an organized manner, meaning fill in from front to back. Parking is easy there and all sites are the same.

If you want to park beside your friends, best to arrive with them.

The sites are mostly level front to back, most need some blocking side to side. Nothing drastic but bring your blocks.

The parkers will note your site number and record your name. You can pay the Cove ($25/night) after you settle in. They can only take cash or check.

FACILITIES:

Entering the park, the sites on the left have 50a. Let them know if you need it. I have asked them to put the motor homes in that section but there are 48 sites there so plenty of room. We do not expect 48 motor homes.

All other sites are 30a.

Every site has water and sewer also.

The water at the Cove is some of the best you will find anywhere. It comes straight from the reservoir, ( visible from Caesars Head), treated, then to the Cove. *****95 lbs of pressure***** be sure to use a regulator to protect your hose.

We have full use of the Meeting Hall, Pavilion/lounge, and the entire park. The kitchen in the meeting hall is available if you need it. Weather permitting we will use the pavilion as much as possible.

Rally parking means side by side, rear end to rear end. Very Airstream. Sites are app 20' wide by 60' long.

All hookups will be at the rear street side corner of your rig.

There are no trees, and the sites are all thick, carpet like grass.

The Saluda River runs along the back of the property. Easy walk, check it out.

No supplies at the Cove, not even ice. Limited supplies are about 6 miles away in ''downtown'' Cleveland. Pack it in.

SIDE TRIPS:

Hwy 11 has many State Parks and other out door venues very close by. A little investigation will reveal many opportunities. A MUST is the short trip up onto Caesars Head where you have a splendid birds eye view of the entire area, including the Cove.

There is a winery just down the road.

The Cove hosts will be ready and able to assist you with any local info, or questions about the park. Remember that the Cove is a member owned, not for profit park, run by volunteers. They are just like us...they love to camp.

More info....

Seminars. We have some new ones this time we think you will enjoy.

1. Personal safety while traveling/camping. Lead by a sheriff's deputy, he knows his stuff.

2. Fire safety in you trailer or motorhome. Lead by a Charlotte firefighter, he also knows his stuff.

3. TPMS....Tire pressure monitoring systems. Tires are perhaps the most important component on your rig, it pays to keep up with them.

4. Hospice Care...lead by a not retired hospice nurse. Good opportunity to find out about this very special service. She will also be offering blood pressure checks.

5. ''Just what is this WBCCI thing?''. Lead by yours truly, an open discussion on the Wally Byam Caravan Club International, the official club for Airstream owners. Bring your questions, I will find someone to answer them.

6. WBCCI officer installations. Open to EVERYONE, member or not. Come join us, see part of the Club's ''business''. You will be pleasantly surprised.

There may be others, and we will have specific times and locations posted for everyone later, and also included in you rally pack. All of the presenters are rally attendees, looking to share their vast knowledge...except for me, no vast knowledge here, but still looking to share what little I have.

...and more....

the meal plan....
Thursday evening is the HOT DOG FEAST. I have 300 really good, premium hot dogs, and homemade chili. We will need buns, chips, condoms, slaw, relish, deserts, anything you would like to throw in there. Airstreamers are not picky eaters.

Friday am we will provide continental breakfast. Might not fill you up but will prevent you from being hungry. If you would like to throw something in by all means please do.

Friday lunch will be own your own....we can't feed you all your meals!!!

Friday night is the ever popular, almost nearly famous Possum Bog, a meal in itself. If you are new, not to worry, it tastes just like chicken. We could use any sides, or deserts, or anything at all you'd like to contribute.

Saturday breakfast is ALL POTLUCK. Is is famous, and bountiful, so please bring your specialty to share, it is a big crowd.

Saturday's lunch is also on your own.

Saturday night is our very special FISH FRY. Restaurant grade, fillet white fish, shrimp, devil crabs, hush puppies, french fries. All professionally prepared and served by my good friend Charles. We will need slaw, salads, deserts, anything you would like to contribute.

Sunday breakfast will also be provided continental.

Please be sure to bring your own tableware and drink of choice to each meal.
We will provide coffee each am.

and a little bit more....

it's nearly Halloween. Just for extra fun, decorate for it if you wish. 'Tis the season.

And just for the kids, we have a pumpkin, and a sercy bag for them. A pumpkin decorating contest...where everyone wins....and a Friday night pizza party for them also. In case they don't like possum.

For those who would like to contribute to the kids packet, feel free. We have some things, can always use more. We will prepare about 20 bags for them. Children are indeed special, we are so very glad to have them coming.

We have some really good door prizes. if you have something to bring, please do. Every rig gets a ticket regardless.

We also have several raffles so bring some gambling bucks.

Flea market and Crafts show all weekend. Bring anything you want...buy/sell/trade.

A very special showing of the Long Long Trailer, at the pavilion, all weekend long.

maybe just a little bit more....

please wear a name tag.

It will be great to put a face with a name. We will have some blanks if you need one.

If you already have one...maybe a WBCCI badge or one from a previous rally....thanks in advance for wearing it. With about 300 people, a name tag becomes a good thing.

just a tiny weenie bit more...of the same

Bits and pieces....
Friday night is open mic night, so bring it on. Don't be shy.

Everyday, somewhere, at some time, is HAPPY HOUR. Be social, you are among friends.

We have some very gracious sponsors who have contributed to the rally. You will receive a list, with their contact info, and hopefully follow up after the rally with a Thank You note. We will once again have wonderful door prizes.

Remember also that every rig gets to participate in the door prize drawings, it is NOT necessary for you to bring anything but you are certainly welcome to.

New this year, we have something special for the gamblers out there. A 50/50 raffle, and we also have a couple other super cool items that we will raffle off. Money collected will help pay for some of the rally expenses, and allow us to have all this fun at a bargain...cheap thrills.

And speaking of money....

we will have a $25/rig rally fee to cover the fish fry and a few other things. That's $25 per RIG, a real bargain. Unless you come by yourself. Then, just consider yourself to be helping to subsidize your neighbor's family of 4 to a real Airstream adventure. Someone will be available at each meal for you to 'fess up. The parking fee will be paid to the Cove, after you get settled in. The parking crew will note your site to help you remember when you go in to the office to pay.
