Sandlapper,

OK, you get the pancakes that I "dropped" on your plate! 3 second rule, uh huh.

Hey hon, what kinda Coke do you want?

Somebody that's coming said they hailed from the Keystone State, Hey PA gang I'm trying to recreate Grandma's recipe for Sugar Pie, so far one failure and one in the direction of but not Grandma grade yet.

Being the primo Cast Iron cook are you going to recommend some recipes for Dutch Over cooking?

Sugar Pie

Ok so now you stirred up one of the Yankees! Grandma would not be happy with the indiscretions towards us Northerners. But I'm up for a lesson if uns guys think you can educate us to speak Southernese. But in the meantime…try some of Grandma's sugar pie:

Roadrunner,

I don't remember Grandma's having eggs in it and I think this also points out how many Grandma's recipes exist for this pie. I remember it as a thrown together pie for kids (me mostly) that was made as a leftover crust user upper. I can always try to bake your version and see what I get.

Maybe you could chef up some scrapple or paunhaus for a try it if'n you dare for breakfast.

My Dad's roots are in Somerset County.

Hank,

Not sure I have primo recipies but I think introducing this versatile cooking tool is the big thing then let your tastes kick in and see what happens. We've done some real good roast beef meals in it, taters, onions gravy and slicing style beef. If things were getting tough, the biggest camp DO that I could carry would be a must have. Biggest thing to learn is temperature management. John is trying to get a massive egg dish added to the breakfast menu.

We've done stews, chili (no beans or beans) but using one of these to bake it is possibly the most unique use of one. Maggie will be teaching all of us about baking I hope.

Gary

Maybe a breakout session for Westerners who don't understand either?

We're close enough that I could bring our teardrop and our camper, if they'd let us put two on one site (they'd fit). I built ours to look like an Airstream Torpedo.

Smuggle it in

That's a great looking teardrop, I'm sure it would be a hit with the crowd. Maybe you could pass it off to the ranger as the group's "chuck wagon".

I would love to see those little ones!

I can't imagine the rangers would give any trouble over them.

We're going to fill the place up!
