Only 5 short months away.

For any ponderers, don't ponder too long. You can go on the Lake Wateree State Park web site to monitor site availability. It will likely fill up by March, if not sooner.

They are all good sites, paved, mostly level, water/elec, wooded. The sites are all in 1 loop, we will gather in the middle as before so everyone is in the thick of things.

Thursday nite hot dog feast, Friday chicken wings/possum bog, Saturday...the now famous fish fry. And of course RITA!!!!

Joe Migliore and Gabrielle Horwitz, from Closter, NJ. He emailed me they took site 15.

Nice folks, we invited them, told them they'd have a great time.

They have an Airstream trailer (they all look the same to me), and a 20' Argosy motorhome.

There may be others........

I finally was able to make our reservation for March 2014. We are in site # 57 next to RoadRunner(#59). Terry, site 55 was taken. In Sept. site #57 was empty on Saturday. I guess the SOB group could not stand being surrounded by Aluminum beauties and smelling Terry's chicken wings cooking.

John, are you going to send RoadRunner a hall pass to come across the Mason-Dixon line for the March rally? I guess we could make him an honorary Carolinian after a couple of lessons in Southernese?

I will talk to Marshall and Missie Howell about signing up for this rally, if they haven't already.

Good to hear John. I checked the park web site Tuesday, it is well on it's way to filling up. Lots of aluminum, easy on the eyes. And the smell of Terry and Annie's chicken wings rounds it all out.

After a great polishing seminar at the September gathering, gotta give Roadrunner (and little Roadrunner) a 2- thumbs up, lifetime pass and open invitation to the South.

Please extend the invite to the Howells, they would fit right in.

Excited to be part of the SC family. I'm already halfway there with my love of sweet tea (the "sweet tea" up north is TERRIBLE), weather over 70, and fried pickles right?

Your are correct, Road Runner did give a great presentation on polishing an Airstream. As I remember he and his family did stay a few extra days in the Carolina's getting the feel of this great area of the country. I am not throwing down on PA, but nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina.

Besides, Road Runner will be leaving snow country for the sunny shores of Lake Wateree State Park. Whatever, we will welcome Road Runner with some Wilkes County spring water with blue berries in a Waterford jar.

All for now, I need to get back on the roost and watch the neighborhood.

To help you become a comfortable part of the SC family you will have to come over while Terry is cooking chicken wings and be part of the quality control team. You will get to assist Terry with cooking, drink a little sweet tea and of course do quality control checks on the different batches of cook chicken wings? And the fellowship is excellent only requirement is be yourself and enjoy.
