Wateree is a great park and we love Sept camping (late Sept). Hope to be able to come again as we sure loved our first Alumalina. Loved reliving it in Dorsey's super video!!

OK, Wateree it is

I will call the Park tomorrow to check on dates and availability. They have fishing tournaments there sometimes which take up some of the sites.

I am thinking Sept 13-15, or Sept 2o-22.

I'll do some homework and post the info.

We will miss you and Karen and promise not to talk about you too much. And Thor would be right at home at this Park. If things change, come on, we will be there.

We have a busy Fall also, amazing how much fun stuff there is to do these daze. I just don't get it, how some folks have nothing to do. We can't get it all in.

Was it Commander Cody, or maybe the Flying Burrito Bros, that had a line in a song that said...

"Too much fun, that's news to me, too much fun, well there must be...a whole lota things that I ain't never done, cause I ain't never had too much fun".

Once again Alumalina opened my eyes to the joys of camping....meeting new people, laughing and of course good food.
Had another great weekend with all you folks. Thanks John for your idea for Alumalina get togethers. We sincerely appreciate your efforts!

Love seeing all the doggies too!

Be safe. Catch up with you in Sept.

We have arrived home after an incredible 6 week trip, visiting North and South Carolina and Georgia.
One of our highlights was Alumalina. We had a great time, wonderful southern hospitality, great food and lots of fun. It was so nice to see everyone again. Thank you John and Susan for all that you did to organize it.
Dorsey what a great video, it brought back all the memories of a wonderful weekend. You covered everything, thank so very much for making it.
The airstream is washed and back in the barn until we leave again in 3 weeks.
Safe travels,
Bonnie and Greg

Chimney Log

Guys and Gals,

Spring at Carowinds, some came over and visited with Thor and Brad and Sat nite we burned a conversation piece log, hollow down the middle. Last nite we had family down in the backyard and did it again. This pic is a 15 sec time exposure, we watched it for a long time last nite.

How about spring 2014. I always miss it since I'm in FL. Will it be later since Easter is later next year?

Alan, I noticed too that Easter is late next year. One of the reasons we hold the rally in mid to late March is Carowinds is not yet open, and with some wrangling, we get a discounted rate. And the location is easy and conveinient to many folks, nearly central to both Carolinas. Plus, seems like after the first of April, everyone's schedule gets filled up with holidays, spring breaks, other rallys, and many other events. Alumalina is sort of a break out rally.

I will be posting some info on the Fall gathering very soon, so stay tuned.

Just so you know, I watched the entire thing and I was not there.
And, I am jealous of all that were. One day....we will make it one day....

Yep, Dorsey nailed it for sure. I still find myself going back, taking a look, re-living a great weekend.

Chuck, we're holding a spot for you and Skye.
