Sharing some You Tube Film from Cape to Cairo

The interviews were done one week before I joined the Wilds. Also there is a neat film of the Caravan/Convoy leaving Missouri for Cairo, IL.
===============
African Caravan 1959 - 2009 You Tube Interviews and Caravan Cape to Cairo Film

I am sharing these You Tube films for you viewing.

========================================

A local group filmed 17 Airstreams on convoy from Cape Girardeau, MO to Cairo, IL “Cape to Cairo” took this first video.

From Kansas City, MO came a gentleman who owned an Airstream. He and a professional camera man left Kansas City at 3:30 A.M. to take part in the Cape to Cairo Rally, sponsored by Steve Burrows. One of the camera shoots was an informal Q&A with me. The first time I viewed these cuts were on U-Tube today.

Part 1
Part 5 are my comments when asked the following question.

“What advice will you give to a 22 year old, that has a tow vehicle and an Airstream?”

Part 5

Hey all,
I am just remembering our great event! And I am getting ready to submit a short article about it for publication in the VAC Vintage Advantage Newsletter. Does anyone object if I give permission to the newsletter editor to look over and use for the story any of the photos posted in this thread and those in the gallery that was set up:
MobileMe Gallery

If you allow your photos to be used, do you want to be credited with taking them?

I have no idea which photos the editor may like from an artistic standpoint or else I'd do the selection and determine photo credits myself.

Thanks in advance.

If you click on the photo and then click the information button below it you can see some of the photo information. At the very top right under the image ID you'll see who uploaded the photo. If there's no credit then it was my upload.

It looks like most of the photos in the gallery came from Dacia, Doug and myself. I have no problem with you using any of my photos.

Joe,

Certainly any we took, you're welcome to use without credits. I think most of the uploaded photos have been compressed, though. If the editor needs the full file of any we may have, just let us know and we'll figure out how to get them to you.

Joe, you can use any I took without credits. If you need better resolutions for print, let me know.

Thanks all for permission to use your photos. I'll pass the link to them to the editor with instruction on how to follow up with you if higher resolution copies are needed. I can't wait to see which photos are selected and the final layout. Kimber always does a fantastic job.

pictures from the wilds

Joe,

The pictures I took, I sent to Dacia. She knew how to do the stuff you do to display them and she used some in the WDCU newsletter. You are more than welcome to use anything I sent to her, if she still has them. I really liked the pictures you took of each airstream and owners at the wilds.

Margaret, I still have them. If you want I can load all of them onto TinLoafs (Steve's) site with the rest. You had some great shots of the work detail.
Joe, they are on a drive not with me right now. I'll see if I can get them within the day and PM you with access information.
