I'm Karen...Foiled Again's "baby sister" (I'll be 56 in November)
Clairol is our friend!
No camper at all...YET! Happy Hubby and I are looking but haven't found quite what we want/can afford.
Maybe I should knock Paula off and inherit hers!

Thursday night:

Some of us were thinking we would be able to arrive on Thursday night. Is this possibly an option?

Well, I don't know where I got the idea that some would be in by Thursday, but that doesn't sound like the case. Does anyone have any thoughts on a place close to the camping site for spending Thursday night?

Ohio State Parks - Blue Rock State Park

Blue Rock State Park is about 25 minutes away from the visitors center.

Spring Valley Campground Spring Valley Campground, Cambridge Ohio is also about 25 minutes away, but it is right on the freeway. Maybe want to think about this.

In an earlier post it was mentioned that you could pick any spot you liked when you arrived.

Any possibility that there will be enough to park in a wagon wheel?

There are a few beautiful state parks that are not too far from the Wilds. Dillon State Park is a very pretty area. A little further along is Salt Fork. I don't know which direction you are coming in from.
Larry and I have another commitment which has prevented us from joining in the fun this time! We will be pancake flipping and turning sausages for the local high school band that weekend and hopefully earning them enough money to pay for buses to the games this year. We look forward to hearing about your adventures at the Wilds!

Sadly no. I really was hoping that we would have been allowed to park on one of the many open plains they have, but they have some sort of binding restriction on where parking and overnighting can occur. I'm not sure who it is restricted by, but choices were given to me, and what we hae appears to be the best.

The site is actually pretty wide and long. I'll take a good look when I get there to see if I can mark something out with the trailers attending, but probably just a convential layout will be best.

We're coming from Ontario along 20 to 250 to I 77 on the 17th. heading for the Wilds. Does anyone know of a good overnight stop along the route from about Ashland south. Any truck stops or Walmarts or rest areas that you can stop for a few hours.
