AIRSCREAM Midwest Rally Fall 2004

Ready for round 3??? Stay tuned for

AIRSCREAM 2004 !!!!

OK, I love Halloween, can you tell.

Friday OCTOBER 8 - 10 2004

I haven't called Moraine View State Park to confirm yet, but thought I would take over Jack's misery of Organizing yet another Midwest Forum Rally. I can only hope to follow in his footsteps, in the same powerful manner.....(although, my grammar and spelling will never be as good!)

I am sticking with MVSP because I know it, now. So for those of you who are too far away, I appologize ahead of time. I know many of you have kids, but we would love to see you all.

We have decided to have some fun with this one... How about an Airstream decorating contest??? Or, a costume contest??? LOL... Just kidding, or not.

I can't promise that the 'racoons' won't have a food fight, and I can't promise more whirly-gigs, but I can promise some fun, and good socializing.

Hope this find all of you Midwesterners well, and I'll be back soon to confirm this date. Any later, and you may have to start 'winterizing'.

Thanks!

Ron ( Don't worry, I'm wearing a mask...LOL)
& Tony

We wouldn't miss it! Count us in!

We're up for any ridiculous Halloween excitement...costume contests, apple bobbing, trick or treating (perhaps for chocolate milk?????), roasting of dead things on spits, cauldron's of mysterious smokey brew, pranks, perhaps a seance?

Ron and Tony - let me know how we can help!

I can't see a reason off hand why we couldn't go, but I'll know more as we get closer to September. Lots going on at work and Sept/Oct are kind of our touch up time for items not requested that we need to get done.

Roger!!!

Bring him along!!!

What could be more fun than ringing in your 75th with a bunch of costumed airstreamers???

There really isn't a better party around.

Sorry we'll miss you and your stories.

OK....we're just about good to go

The man I spoke with at Moraine View wasn't much help, but I think we're good to go. Here's the link for the Application, make sure to mark Airstream Group on the top.

Do I sound like I am repeating Jack? Sorry, had to re-read his posts...LOL

http://dnr.state.il.us/lands/landmgt...rvcamprsvp.pdf

The cost is up to $20.00 per night. But I think it's worth it!

I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks

Ron, you don't need a mask :-)

Ron, I'm sort of anti-mask because it seems to release people's inhibitions :-)

No offense, but you don't need a mask, ya wild and crazy guy:-)

You might get too wild with feeding the raccons.

Does Tony have a leash???

Talking AirSCREAM AAARRRGGHHHHHHHHHHH

Our trailer is at the dealer's as we speak; she has new AC, and new shocks, and a new some-sort-of-brake part.

She is ready for pick-up tomorrow.

He said her axles were fine, so I've been worried for nothing.

Anyway, what this means is..

if we can get off work; we will be there, too.

and the BIG news is.. THIS TIME WE WOULD HAVE A TRAILER WITH US!!!!!

and our little dog, too..

and maybe some flying monkeys.

Masks, leashes, this rally is really shaping up!

Do I get to be Princess of Debauchery again? Or was it Princess of Ersatz Lasciviousness? Don't care either way - big words - don't understand. As long as I get to wear my tiara!?!

Oh yea, count my cousin and her family in. And if our Argosy Motorhome on ebay doesn't sell, we'll be towing our Minuet with it to the rally!

Looking forward to it!

Can we make trick-or-treating for the little ones for an hour part of the excitement?

I'm really, really hoping to be road worth by then. So count me in one way or another. I'll be Mr. Conductor, and Lori will be something atractive. Maybe We will have Cody on a leash by then too.

Lions, and tigers, and bears! Oh, my!

So... are you coming as Dorothy or Glenda?

Ron, just a correction here. The fee you send in for the first night includes a $5.00 reservation fee which makes that initial cost $20. The campsites on subsequent days are $15.

We probably will have to pass on this one since we are doing the Rte. 66 Caravan/Rally down hear in late September and Patty and I usually hit Branson for a week in October. Great time of year to be in the Ozarks! Good luck with the rally.

Regards,

Jack
