Uh-oh!

Forgot to ask..... can someone post what we need to plan on for this? I mean, is there a requisite number of goats to bring for the dessert table, or do I have that wrong?
Beverages to share in the cauldron? Did I hear something about a potluck? Costume parade?
Just post something simple for simple people like me to follow..... and be gentle..... this will be a first time thing for us! Never been to a Rally, hardly ever use campgrounds.....
We may be old, but we're trying to not be stick in the muds....

For all of you Airscreamers this upcoming weekend, we'll be wo-o-o-ondering how the festivities are going at Moraine View! We enjoyed the June Rally so much, and wish we could "wish" ourselves there without the drive at this busy time of year. Hope the owls are hooting, haunts are spooking, and the brew is bubbling in the cauldron! Take care and have a bo-o-o-tiful rally! Post pics later, please!

Still planning to come

We are still planning to come. Will somebody please post what things we need to be prepared for? Potluck? Costumes? Trailer decor? What's up?
We will be traveling from OH for the big rally and need to be ready. We will be calling Moraine on Mon. to check on which site will be ours.
Can't wait to meet all of you.
Larry and Lou

Answers! We need answers!

To bring this back to the top again...

Called the park office once I realized we do not have time to mail in our reservations, and don't want to appear in person for them neither.....

So, we will trust to luck, and try to arrive late Thursday, or very early Friday morning.

So. What do we need to be prepared for? Besides TinCanLuv, of course? LOL!! Seriously.... pot luck? dessert potluck? sacraficial goats? Costumes? For us? For the dogs? For the Airstream Renegade? Toilet paper for the rangers house, or the host units? I see from the park page that NO ALCOHOL is allowed in the park! Does that mean anything I might bring in has to be in plain, unmarked, bottles, or does it mean none no way? And what's this thing about chickens? Are togas mandatory or optional?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I will tell you straight up, my dogs aren't the best behaved, but neither are they the worst..... they are big, love people, and kept on leash..... we do set up a fenced area for them.... this would be a hoot!

Flying monkeys? Do those get along with goats and chickens? I bet their ka-ka is harder to dodge than that from pigeons....
My dogs are standard poodles, one is about fifty pounds, the other about sixty. They will look, perhaps, funny to you as I keep their topknots in bands to protect the hair.... had a woman (with six inch, purple painted nails!) that crawled off a Harley efer to their hairdo's as 'funky'!
No, my dogs haven't acquired a taste for dog. Yet. They do enjoy sqirrels, possums, and bunnies are getting scarce in the yard......
Now my husband wants to leave home Thursday, and stop at Biggsville to check out the junk some guy has listed on eBay.... a whole truckload of it!

The goats and chickens haven't checked in for months!

But the Flying Monkey is a Jack Russell in disguise.. (see her on the pets forum) (or at www.oddlyenoughcurioshoppe.com ) and she is a BIG disgrace to her breed.. she's timid and will most likely HIDE. She doesn't like to leave the trailer; I need to buy her a little fence like you have. Don't knwo if I'll get that done before this weekend, though.

Good luck on the Ebay shopping spree!!

It will be nice to meet you.

Tedd, I don't know of any dessert table... but then I showed up at Moraine last time with NO TRAILER, and now Ron and Tony are going to copycat me!

Hope they bring their picture I.D., like I did.. but then I also made you vouch for our authenticity since you had seen us at the N. IL Rally at Amboy :-)

Potluck Vote

Since there's almost NOTHING in the news except Politics, (what about the Nobel; 3 Americans won, and we also went into space as a private venture!!) let's follow suit and VOTE on Potluck ideas.

Some of us are showing up Thursday night, but most are coming Friday.. we have to work until noon Friday, but Moraine is only 3 hours away, barribg any breakdowns..... or traffic snarls....

I vote for a Saturday afternoon potluck, bring your own beverage and place settings.

What say YOU???

You didn't hear it here, but.......

I use an unmarked bottle cozy.

We just can't act like destructive morons, and I don't think the little old guy on the golf cart will bother us.

ALL State parks say no alcohol, and the fine can be steep!
So be ready to dispose of the evidence.. bottoms up!
