Got a message from Joe this morning. They are fine. They live in NW OKC. So thankful that our Airstream families are ok.

Joe and I are fine. Everything was south of us. Still trying to cope with all the destruction and co-workers/friends it affected. Glad to hear Jim and Debi are alright.

It seemed like our trailer would fill up with sewer smell whenever I would dump our trailer black water tank.

On the Saturday of the trailer tours our trailer stunk so bad I was embarrassed to let people in. "U Doan Wanna Go In There" said the cigar smoking man as he exited the bathroom with his newpaper in hand....

Anyhow, I was telling a fellow about the smell and he told me to check my vent pipe for to see if it was clogged up. It wasn't. I ran water down it to see-- which in hind sight was not a very smart think to do if the vent pipe had been broken.

I took off the access cap in the trunk of the trailer to see if water was getting through, but I could tell. then I thought what if the pipe is broken and I've got water all over the trailer!

I went in the closet where the vent pipe exits to the roof and tracked down the vent pipe. Behind the false wall I got a flash light and looked down, the access cap was broken, like I had tried to remove it with a crescent wrench when redoing the trailer in 2007, I don't remember.

I went to the hardware store and bought a replacement plug. Now the vent is sealed system again.

I think I fixed it.

Thanks to the unknown camper who suggested what to look for.

Regina and I are heading south tomorrow!

We're looking forward to it.
