I received an email from Linda at Acorn Acres today, and they are really excited to see us in a few short weeks.

We have 19 trailers signed up.... it sure would be neat if we could get some more (25 is an awesome number). I've also been told that we will be in Branson when the trees will be changing, and that there should be some Fall Festival's.

If you have been considering attending, but haven't signed up yet, what are you waiting for?

We'll be at Babler starting this Friday we are on site 45 - 9/21 - 9/29 - come see us - we'd love to see the progress on your trailer - bring bikes if you have em....Lois

We haven't made ANY progress on our trailer. In fact, I am unhappy with the flooring, and we are considering doing that over before moving forward. I would rather have a solid piece of vinyl flooring, instead of the individual strips, which catch a lot of sand and dirt in the grooves. Now would be the time to do it, before we get any farther.

I am working this weekend, but we should be able to squeeze in a day visit during next week. Will talk to Shane when he gets off work and get back with you on that.

Carol, I am sooo looking forward to the fall rally, and the change of season. It's getting closer!

Hi from the wandering Esmerelda.

We're at Flagstaff getting the ole red Dodge serviced and checking out why we have some "cupping" on a tire.

Well, Ray is getting that done. Teddy and I are laying around in a decent RV park.

Just left Grand Canyon this morning. It is awesome.

If all continues to go well we'll home in plenty of time for the rally! Anxious to see everyone and hope we have new folks, too. We met a couple in a beautiful Classic AS parked next to us in Kingman and tried to talk them into joining us- but I guess it's a little far for them.

Oh! I forgot. I have a suggestion for the hosts and attendees to consider:

Since it will be so close to the Presidential Election while we are at our fall rally, I think it would be good if we just all agree to disagree and make politics/elections a taboo subject for this one.

I know we all agree on Airstreams and fun at rallies and a gazillion other things. But I know we don't all agree on the hot button political issues, candidates, etc. Since the election campaigns will be boiling and venomous in mid-October, maybe we should avoid political commentary, arguments, etc., in order to keep things fun and on the fun scary side!

I would hate to see any friendships damaged, feelings hurt, etc. Politics and uh, cocktails, could be a recipe for disaster!! I'm just sayin'....

Just a humble suggestion..

And we would love to be able to do that. This sounds like such a fun group...We enjoyed meeting Nan & Ken, (Sophia & Max) and Carol & Drew in August. But, this year we already have color tour weekend plans. We're going through the tunnel of trees & back to the lake shore for the fall pilgrimage before our state turns white...

Post lots of pictures & great stories from the rally. We'll miss being there, this year...

My sister Cindy called me tonight. She and Diane are talking about coming to the rally! They might also bring our nephew, and Diane's son. Do the rally rules allow teenagers? The want to go to Silver Dollar City.

As far as I know, there are no rules and there are no age limits/restrictions. I would think that there would need to be an increased awareness of adult beverages though...

I wouldn't think teenagers would pose any problem. I would be leery of bringing younger children, but if teenage maturity levels were an issue, Shane and I wouldn't be allowed to come!
